~{DEBORAH'S POV}~

'The following morning before the journey'
~
Since we all had to dine together as a family, Peter and I had to join in.
But on getting to the dining room, our father had a sour look and I could tell that he was boiling from within. That could only mean one thing; he did not like the request Peculiar and I made.
The moment I walked in with Peter and he took the other head chair far from my father, I sat on his left and when I looked at my father again, I found him boring holes into me, making me flinch at the intensity of his gaze.
"Good morning, father," I carefully greeted him but he did not respond.
The way he held his fork was quite concerning because it was obvious he held it really tight due to the veins that had popped dangerously.
Bridget was absent which was concerning but when I discovered that Ruby wasn't present either, it made me realize she must be with her, possibly telling her that she would be accompanying us on this journey.
