The words stayed in Lunessa's mind, repeating quietly as she stared at their entangled hands while walking through the same mall she had been in earlier.
It feels different now. Everything did.
"Which shop?" Julian asked shortly.
"Huh?" Lunessa's eyes snapped up, her thoughts still scattered, her expression slightly blank from everything that had just happened.
"Which shop did you go to earlier to buy clothes?" he repeated, his brows drawing together slightly as he noticed how out of focus she was.
"Ah…" Lunessa blinked, then lifted her hand and pointed across the hallway. "That one…"
Julian followed the direction of her finger.
Without another word, he led her toward it, his grip on her hand firm and steady, not giving her any space to hesitate.
As they stepped into the boutique, the atmosphere shifted instantly.
The same place.
The same racks of clothes.
The same polished floor.
