As soon as Mu Nianbing returned to the Magic City, he began working on breaking through his Space Element cultivation.
With the experience he had gained from his previous elemental breakthroughs, advancing in the Space Element this time went quite smoothly.
Just as Mu Nianbing stepped out of the Three-Step Pagoda, a line of snow-white text etched with faint frost patterns appeared before his eyes:
[You have received the Snow Emperor's Blessing!]
[Ability 1: Companion Contract — Bind with an Ice Spirit.]
[Ability 2: Double the base power of Ice Element magic.]
"Another blessing!"
A spark of joy flickered in Mu Nianbing's eyes. Compared to his earlier blessings, this one directly amplified his strength.
Even better — the Snow Emperor's Blessing could perfectly stack with the Ice God's Blessing, achieving an effect far greater than the sum of both!
"Ice Spirit… could it be similar to Rei?" he murmured thoughtfully.
Before Mu Nianbing could think further, a ripple split open the air in front of him — a space crack — and from within it emerged a petite, snow-white figure.
The little creature was pure white from head to toe, radiating a refreshing chill.
Her clear, crystalline eyes glimmered like ice gems as she stared curiously at Mu Nianbing.
"Aiya~~!"
The tiny Snow Girl raised her arms toward him, floating closer as if to dive straight into his embrace.
Mu Nianbing's heart softened instantly at the sight of such adorableness.
Though she wasn't as overwhelmingly powerful as Rei, her aura was that of a Commander-level Ice Spirit — the perfect match for him as a contracted creature.
He reached out and caught the little Snow Girl, gently tracing a contract seal on her forehead.
Feeling his calm and gentle mana, the Snow Girl didn't resist in the slightest. The contract was completed easily.
Mu Nianbing stroked his chin thoughtfully. "To help her grow faster… perhaps she'll need Ice Spirit Seed fragments."
He had earned plenty of resources by now — enough to afford feeding a few fragments to his new companion.
Leaving Mingzhu Academy, Mu Nianbing made his way to the nearby magic market.
Spirit seed fragments weren't rare enough for auction houses, so the bustling open-air markets were the best place to find them.
By the time he returned to his apartment, the little Snow Girl was already munching happily on her third fragment — tiny in size, but with the appetite of a beast.
Just as he was closing the door behind him, an all-too-familiar voice rang out:
"So cute!!" Ai Tutu dashed over, eyes sparkling as she stared at the Snow Girl perched on Mu Nianbing's shoulder.
The little Snow Girl tilted her head, clutching a spirit seed fragment in both hands, watching the excitable girl in confusion.
Mu Nujiao followed behind, equally curious. It was the first time she'd seen such an elegant, living ice spirit up close.
"Big Devil, where did you kidnap this little one from?" Ai Tutu demanded, hands on her hips.
"Get lost," Mu Nianbing replied lazily, rolling his eyes. This girl never failed to find trouble.
"Let her go! I'm challenging you one-on-one!" Ai Tutu snapped back angrily.
Mu Nianbing's expression turned amused. "Challenge me? You?"
Ai Tutu puffed out her chest indignantly — which only made her "advantage" more noticeable. Mu Nianbing couldn't help but glance downward out of reflex.
"Rogue!!" she shrieked, covering herself and glaring at him.
Mu Nianbing sighed. "You're the one who started this."
"Tutu, enough," Mu Nujiao said quickly, pulling her friend back. "You can't possibly beat him with your level of magic."
Ai Tutu huffed but didn't argue. She peeked out from behind Mu Nujiao, pouting.
"Fine. But at least let me touch the little Snow Girl. I'll… let you touch me in return."
Mu Nujiao's expression froze. "What kind of deal is that supposed to be?!"
Even Mu Nianbing was briefly speechless — though he couldn't deny that was very much something Ai Tutu would say.
Seeing his gaze drift toward her chest again, Ai Tutu flushed bright red. "Rogue! Pervert!"
"I'm not interested in you," Mu Nianbing replied dryly.
That only made Ai Tutu even angrier — though she quickly turned mischievous.
"Then what about Sister Mu? You like her, don't you? Sister Mu, how about making a little sacrifice for him?"
Mu Nujiao's face darkened instantly. She pinched Ai Tutu's arm. "You're dead when we get home."
Mu Nianbing waved dismissively. "Enough nonsense. If you two want to play, do it somewhere else. I'm going home."
Without waiting for a reply, he left them bickering and returned to his apartment.
Inside, Ye Xinxia was practicing quietly in the living room. Hearing the door, she opened her eyes and smiled softly.
"Brother Nian~"
Mu Nianbing walked over, ruffling her hair affectionately. "How's the training going?"
"The Healing Element just broke through to the third level," she replied with a proud smile.
Mu Nianbing's eyes widened slightly. "That's impressive progress."
At this pace, once she reached the Parthenon Temple, it wouldn't take long before Xinxia became strong enough to defend herself — at least to some extent.
"You've been training so hard," he said with a warm grin, "so you deserve a reward."
"A reward?" Xinxia blinked, tilting her head curiously.
Mu Nianbing didn't answer. He simply lifted her gently into his arms and carried her into his room.
The little Snow Girl, left alone on the sofa, puffed her cheeks in jealousy — but soon found comfort in another fragment of ice spirit seed, nibbling on it happily.
Before long, the quiet apartment filled with muffled sounds and faint vibrations from behind the closed door.
