AMALIA's POV
Daniel Reyes.
The name had been showing up too often in the wrong places.
Not headlines. Not awards.
Just buried in investigations that never quite made it to the surface… and stories powerful people tried to erase before they could spread.
And still—he hadn't disappeared.
That alone made him dangerous.
I leaned back slightly in the chair, tapping my finger once against the edge of the laptop as I stared at the files in front of me. Articles. Reports. Interviews. Every single one of them pointed in the same direction.
"…You're not guessing," I murmured under my breath.
He was digging and worse—he was finding things. Real things. Financial inconsistencies. Shell companies. Names that didn't officially exist but kept appearing in the same circles. Quiet disappearances tied to quiet deals.
I exhaled slowly. This wasn't just a journalist. This was a problem—but not in the way Trevor thought.
I stared at the screen a moment longer before closing the file halfway.
