Chapter 56 - Chapter 55: Damage Control & The “Wolf”

The meeting room was suffocating.

Not because of the AC.

But because of Koharu.

Everyone sat stiffly, files in hand, eyes lowered, breathing carefully—like one wrong move could end their careers.

OG's new music had been leaked.

Not partially.

Not accidentally.

Fully leaked.

And everyone knew what that meant.

Loss.

Damage.

Scandal.

And worst of all—

Koharu's reaction.

Even Rinn looked tense this time.

Her usual calm expression was slightly tight.

Because she knew—

When it came to business…

Koharu wasn't soft.

Not even a little.

---

The Calm Before the Storm

Koharu stood at the head of the table.

Tablet in hand.

Silent.

Deadly silent.

No shouting.

No anger.

Which made it worse.

Everyone waited.

One person even whispered a prayer.

Rinn subtly typed something on her phone under the table.

A message.

Quick.

Urgent.

Before Koharu could speak—

Buzz.

Koharu's phone lit up.

She glanced at it.

Paused.

Then—

"…Meeting dismissed."

Silence.

Everyone blinked.

"W-what?"

Koharu didn't explain.

Didn't repeat.

She simply turned—

and walked out.

Just like that.

---

After She Left 😮‍💨

The room exploded in relief.

Someone literally leaned back and whispered, "I'm alive…"

Another wiped sweat from their forehead.

Rinn sighed softly.

"…That was close."

Just then—

The door opened slightly.

Aiko peeked in.

"May I come in, ma'am?" she said, smiling sheepishly.

Rinn looked at her.

Then shook her head, half amused.

"…You already came in."

Aiko walked inside casually.

"Thank you so much," Rinn said quietly. "If you and Sakura didn't help today… I might have been eaten alive."

Aiko waved her hand. "It's fine."

Then she smirked.

"But let's see how Sakura handles the wolf."

Rinn raised a brow. "You're enjoying this too much."

Aiko grinned. "Always."

---

The Plan 📱

Aiko quickly typed a message:

"Koharu is coming for you."

Send.

---

Meanwhile — Sakura 🚶‍♀️

Sakura was already on her way out, heading toward a restaurant.

Her phone buzzed.

She read the message.

Paused.

"…Coming for me?"

Before she could think—

another call came.

Rinn.

"Sakura," Rinn said quickly, "the leak situation—we're handling it. But Koharu can't get involved right now."

"Why?" Sakura asked.

"Because she'll destroy someone," Rinn replied honestly. "We need time to fix it quietly."

Sakura swallowed.

"…And?"

Rinn sighed.

"You need to keep her busy."

Sakura blinked. "…Me?"

"You're the only one she'll listen to right now," Rinn said. "Buy us time."

And then—

The call ended.

---

The Lie 🚗

Sakura stared at her phone for a second.

Then quickly typed:

"My car stopped. I'm stuck in the middle of the road."

Send.

She looked around.

Perfectly fine road.

Perfectly fine car.

"…I'm really doing this," she muttered.

Then—

She bent down.

And lightly kicked her car tire.

"…Okay maybe not lightly."

She punched it.

"…Ow."

Now she was actually annoyed.

"Why am I suffering for this plan?!"

---

Enter: The Puppy 🐶

Within minutes—

A car stopped in front of her.

Of course.

Koharu stepped out.

Calm.

Concerned.

Focused.

"What happened?" she asked, already scanning the situation.

Sakura tried to act natural. "…Car issue."

Koharu didn't question.

Didn't doubt.

Just nodded.

"Come."

Simple.

Direct.

Sakura got into Koharu's car.

And just like that—

The "wolf" was successfully distracted.

---

Inside the Car 🚘

Silence.

Comfortable.

But slightly awkward.

Sakura glanced at Koharu.

"…Have you eaten?"

Koharu didn't look at her.

"…No."

Lie.

Very obvious lie.

She had eaten.

But this—

This was better.

Because this meant—

More time.

With Sakura.

Sakura nodded slowly.

"…Let's eat then."

Koharu's grip on the steering wheel tightened just slightly.

"…Okay."

---

Something Different

The car moved forward.

City lights passing by.

Soft music playing in the background.

And for the first time that day—

Koharu wasn't thinking about leaks.

Or business.

Or problems.

She was thinking about—

Sakura.

Beside her.

Talking to her.

Choosing to stay.

And Sakura…

was doing the same.

Even though this started as a distraction—

It didn't feel like one anymore.

---

Sakura looked out the window.

Then softly said—

"…You came fast."

Koharu replied without hesitation—

"You called."

Sakura's heart skipped.

Just a little.

And she smiled quietly.

Because somewhere between chaos and control—

They had found another moment.

Just for themselves.
