SWOOO—
Ba-dump!
The palm filled Elias's vision with the pink color, being the only thing he could see. It was moving so fast that it tore through the air and made Elias feel a gust of wind, making his hair whip.
Ba-dump!
Elias's heart beat, its thud echoing all over his body.
Panic surged to a peak in the moment. But Elias did his best not to react involuntarily. He only did what he had planned.
Fortunately, the palm stopped before reaching Elias's face. The digits twitched, hovering just before Elias's face, like a reminder of something.
And, after a moment—
Evelyn lowered her hand, letting it dangle at her side, and simply stared at the man before her. She couldn't tell if he was telling the truth or not, but when she tried to attack, the quick response of his jaw told her that he might be telling the truth.
That he might really kill himself if she did anything. Not that she was going to do.
Not now, at least!
'I am safe!'
