Chapter 246 - Chapter 160: Rival’s Shadow Returns

The deeper sealed area of the Abyssal Void Realm felt quieter after the last fight, but the quiet did not last. Wei Chen felt the golden pressure of the rival's aura grow clearer with every step the group took. It was no longer a distant presence. It was moving toward them with purpose.

"He's getting closer," Wei Chen said. "Stay alert. We don't know if he'll send more scouts or come himself."

Tigress Yu adjusted her grip on her weapon and kept her eyes on the path ahead. Zhao Yin's shadows moved restlessly around her feet. Huo Yan walked near Lan Qing and Mei Yun, the three of them still carrying the residual heat and chill of their combined techniques. Lin Xue and Su Mei stayed close to Wei Chen's sides. The disciples held a loose formation, the outer ones watching the edges while the main and sub-main disciples stayed ready near the front.

They had not gone much farther when the first signs of the rival's forces appeared. Several cultivators in matching golden-trimmed robes stepped out from behind broken stone formations, their auras carrying the same golden pressure. These were stronger than the earlier subordinates the rival had sent.

The leading one stepped forward with a cold smile. "The Yang Dragon and his women. Our lord is coming for the fragment. You can hand it over now, or we can take it after we break you."

Wei Chen didn't bother answering with words. He simply nodded once.

The fight started quickly. Tigress Yu and Zhao Yin moved first, cutting into the front of the enemy group with speed and precision. Huo Yan mixed her flames with the ice from Lan Qing and Mei Yun, creating sharp bursts of steam and heat that forced two of the stronger opponents to defend. The disciples worked in pairs, using short boosts from the harmony scripture to create openings and land clean hits.

Wei Chen stayed mobile. He deflected a heavy strike with his fan, finished one opponent who broke toward the outer disciples with a focused burst of Yang energy, then stepped back and let the others handle the rest. The group was stronger now. The fights no longer required him to carry everything.

After the first group of the rival's forces was pushed back, the group took a short rest on a more stable stretch of floating stone. The tension of the rival's approaching aura still pressed against them, but for a moment the fighting stopped.

Wei Chen moved through the queens without hurry. He stopped beside Tigress Yu, checked a thin cut on her arm, then slid his hand between her legs and rubbed her slowly while speaking in a low voice.

"You're still sharp," he said. "Your body hasn't slowed."

She gave a short breath and leaned into the touch for a few seconds before he moved on.

He found Zhao Yin a short distance away. He guided her down, pushed into her mouth, and moved with steady control while the others recovered nearby. She took him quietly, eyes half-closed, until he pulled back and let her stand again. A faint flush remained on her cheeks as she returned to checking her shadows.

Further along, Wei Chen sat with Lan Qing for a moment. He parted her legs and licked her with focused pressure until her breathing changed and she came with a soft, controlled sound. He wiped his mouth, rested a hand briefly on her thigh, and left her to recover.

Mei Yun received attention while she was adjusting her position. He stood behind her, cupped her breasts, and moved his thumbs slowly across her nipples as he spoke.

"Your control is steady. Keep it that way."

She nodded, a light color rising in her face, and continued preparing.

The group moved again after the short rest. The golden pressure grew stronger. More of the rival's forces appeared — not a full army, but enough to make the path forward difficult. The fights that followed were sharper and more careful. The disciples worked in tighter pairs. Huo Yan timed her flames with the ice from the other two queens to create clearer openings. Tigress Yu and Zhao Yin kept the stronger opponents from locking onto any single target for long.

Wei Chen intervened only when needed. Once to protect an outer disciple who had been forced out of position, and once to crack the defense of a stronger cultivator who had grown too confident. The rest of the work was left to the group.

After the last of the current wave fell, they reached a wider stretch of floating platforms that overlooked a deeper drop into the void. The inheritance crystal pulsed more strongly in Wei Chen's hand, pointing toward a path that led further into the sealed area where the next major fragment waited.

They rested again in the relative open space. Wei Chen sat with several of the queens. He made Huo Yan take him into her mouth while he slowly fingered Su Mei beside them. Huo Yan's mouth was hot and focused. Su Mei came quietly against his hand a short time later. Afterward he turned to Lin Xue, laid her back against a smoother section of stone, and licked her until her thighs tensed and she came with a soft breath.

The quieter moments that followed felt more natural. Tigress Yu and Huo Yan exchanged a few low comments about the recent fights. Lan Qing and Mei Yun checked on two outer disciples who had taken light hits. Lin Xue and Su Mei stayed near Wei Chen, their presence calm.

The golden pressure of the rival's aura grew clearer still. It was no longer approaching from a distance. It was close.

Wei Chen stood and looked toward the path ahead, then briefly in the direction the golden aura was coming from.

"He's almost here," he said. "The next fragment is still ahead of us, but we may have to deal with him before we reach it. Stay close."

The group formed up once more. In the distance, the golden light of the rival's presence began to take clearer shape through the black mist.
