Everywhere in the world this strange phenomena happened, one for each city, but David didn't know that.
The strange being continued with an excited tone.
"This competition will be the greatest event that all the realms ever witnessed or will witness, but I don't think that your realm will like it." He then started a 10 second laugh that was as scary as it was not understandable.
"Sorry, sorry! Couldn't help myself. So as I was saying we will start the competition soon. It will make some people of the human realm as strong as us but will provide us high entertainment I might say."
The creature seemed to talk to an audience of some sort.
"A month ago, we told all of the leaders of the humans that this would happen. Weirdly enough they didn't tell any of their subordinates about it."
"Not our problems!"
"Let's see how it plays out!"
"this program was provided by countless Administrators and Gods."
"Aministrators, Gods, what is he saying?!" David said out loud.
The creature continued,
-Now...
-Enjoy!
Countless forms of circles and stars signs appeared beneath the feet of every human in the world as it transported them.
"So as you can see spectators every human is in groups of a thousand in each arena."
"To be fair and in case of complaints we placed them with each other if they had the same build and age. The only problem because of that will be that a lot of weak people may survive, but it will make them stronger.
So begin the fifteen second cooldown!"
Every member of the human race were scattered into a different arena for each group of a 1000. The arena was ten times the size of a big coliseum.
In 3/4 of the stands of these coliseums were hologram figures with masks.
David deduced that they were probably the people that the commentator was talking to.
Problem was that David also understood that coliseum means death stage and he was in the middle of it.
Literally.
Couldn't have a worse RNG spawn then this.
A small virtual window popped up 1 meter in front of his face.
Task for the [Practice round]:
1. Survive for an hour.
2. Kill or put unconscious a human each 15 minutes.
Penalty: Burning to death effect. (No death penalty.)
Reward: Special Title
David looked around and saw a field of people looking straight ahead into nothing like he was doing a second ago. David quickly deduced that the pannels were private.
And he got a lot of humbleness when he noticed that he was paired with hords of scrawny looking teenagers.
Some of them looked older but were clearly sick!
It was probably because of the fact that David was only skin and bones.
But even then it was quite a reality check for him. Even worse was the fact that pretty close to him there was an energetic looking child. Probably close to 9 or 10 years old. David was begging the number to be 10 for his own morale.
"That's close to my skill set ?" he thought while letting out a sigh.
Seriously?
F.u.c.k you commentator.
Then the 15 second cooldown passed and a women that scrolled hard enough in her status window found the abandon the task button and decided that she should press it.
Pretty bad idea
