Chapter 104 - A New Kind of Beginning”

---

Jay knew something was off.

At first, she ignored it.

She always did.

A little tiredness? Stress.

Morning nausea? Probably nothing.

Mood swings? Definitely Keifer's fault.

But then—

It didn't stop.

---

The Test

The bathroom was too quiet.

Jay stood there, staring at the small stick in her hand like it had personally betrayed her entire life.

Two lines.

Clear.

Undeniable.

Real.

Her breath caught.

"…No way," she whispered.

Then again, softer:

"No way."

---

Her hands started shaking.

Not fear.

Not panic.

Just… disbelief.

And suddenly—

nine years of chaos, love, pain, healing, and choosing each other over and over again—

all condensed into one tiny result.

---

Keifer Enters the Chaos (Of Course)

The door opened.

"Jay?"

She flinched so hard she almost dropped the test.

Keifer frowned. "Why are you hiding in the bathroom like you're committing a crime?"

Jay turned slowly.

Too slowly.

---

He looked at her face.

Then at her hands.

Then back at her face.

"…What is that?"

She didn't answer.

That silence was enough.

Keifer stepped closer.

"…Is that—"

Jay nodded.

Barely.

---

A pause.

Then—

"…Oh."

Just that.

One word.

---

Jay blinked. "That's your reaction?"

Keifer stared at the test again.

Then at her.

Then slowly—

Wait whatt im-im?? Wait are you for real wait wait what in fucking world?

---

"…We're going to be parents," he said like casually

Jay's eyes filled instantly. "Don't say it like that."

"Like what?"

"Like it's normal."

He laughed softly. "It is normal."

"It is NOT normal."

"It kind of is," he said, stepping closer. "For us."😉

---

He gently took the test from her hand, looking at it like it was something fragile.

Then he looked back at her.

And his voice softened completely.

"…You okay?"

That broke her.

A tear slipped out immediately.

"No," she whispered. "Yes. I don't know."

Keifer nodded slowly.

"Good answer."

---

He reached for her hand.

Not teasing now.

Just steady.

Grounding.

---

"…You're crying," he said softly.

"I'm hormonal," she snapped weakly.

"That's new," he teased lightly.

She glared through tears.

He smiled.

Then—

pulled her into a hug.

---

The Shift

For a moment, neither of them spoke.

Just held each other.

Like they were both trying to understand the weight of what just changed.

---

Then Keifer spoke again, softer this time:

"…So this is what all my hard work led to."

Jay pulled back slightly. "Excuse me?"

He smirked faintly.

"I mean," he said,

It happens because of my hardwork, and its *he garb her waist and pull her*

And im too good at it aren't i baby?

No

No? Then let me prove it again

Keiferrr im pregnant!!

I know baby we are going to be parents

years of chasing you, arguing with you, surviving you—"

"Surviving me?"

"Yes."

She pushed him lightly. "Rude."

He caught her hand immediately.

Then, quieter:

"…We're really doing this, huh?"

Jay nodded.

Slowly.

"Yes."

---

Keifer exhaled, shaking his head slightly like he still couldn't believe it.

Then—

a small smile formed again.

Warm.

Real.

Happy.

---

"Okay," he said.

Jay blinked. "Okay?"

"Yeah," he repeated, tightening his hold on her hand. "We're going to be parents."

A pause.

Then he added, teasing again but softer now:

"…You realize this means I finally won, right?"

Jay frowned through tears. "Won what?"

He leaned closer.

Eyes warm.

Voice low.

"You."

---

Jay laughed through her tears immediately. "You're unbelievable."

"And you're stuck with me," he said simply.

She nodded.

"…I know."

---

And for the first time—

the future didn't feel scary.

It felt full.
