Chapter 15 - The Calm After the Storm

Chapter 14: The End of Toyomi

In the last episode, we saw how a mysterious man suddenly appeared before Ekai. Just as everyone wondered who he was, the world itself began to break apart.

Present Time

CRACK!

The sky shattered like glass.

Mountains broke apart.

The earth trembled violently.

Everything around Ekai and the mysterious man began disappearing.

The battlefield faded into a white void.

Suddenly—

Hikamo opened his eyes.

"Huh?"

He looked around.

He was lying in his bed.

Sunlight entered through the window.

Birds were singing outside.

Hikamo sat up and wiped the sweat from his forehead.

"That was such a bad dream."

He stood up and stretched.

Outside, the weather was beautiful.

The sky was clear blue.

A cool wind passed through the city.

As Hikamo walked through the streets, he saw Ekai waiting nearby.

"Good morning," Ekai said.

Hikamo smiled.

"What a nice weather."

Ekai nodded.

"Yeah. Today is important."

Soon Akaio and the others arrived.

Everyone looked serious.

Today was the day.

The day they would finally obtain the legendary weapon and defeat Toyomi once and for all.

Akaio raised his sword.

"Let's move."

The group began their journey.

After several hours of traveling through mountains, forests, and ancient ruins, they finally reached a giant stone gate.

Ancient symbols covered its surface.

Behind that gate rested the legendary sword.

The weapon said to possess enough power to destroy Toyomi.

Everyone stared at it.

"We finally found it," one of them whispered.

Akaio smiled.

"Open it."

Everyone pushed against the giant gate.

Slowly it began moving.

RUMBLE!

The ground shook.

Dust fell from above.

The gate started opening.

Then suddenly—

A terrifying pressure filled the area.

Everyone froze.

The air became heavy.

Akaio's eyes widened.

"No way..."

Heavy footsteps echoed through the ruins.

Step.

Step.

Step.

A dark figure appeared.

Toyomi.

He slowly walked toward them while laughing.

"Hahaha."

"What a bunch of weak kids."

Everyone immediately took battle positions.

Weapons appeared.

Magic circles formed.

Energy surrounded the battlefield.

Toyomi looked amused.

"You think you can defeat me?"

Akaio pointed his sword.

"We'll stop you."

Toyomi smiled.

"Really?"

In an instant—

BOOM!

Toyomi disappeared.

Before anyone could react, he appeared directly in front of Akaio.

A powerful punch struck Akaio's stomach.

The impact created a shockwave.

Akaio was launched across the battlefield.

BOOOOOOM!

He smashed into a mountain.

The mountain cracked apart.

Everyone gasped.

"AKAIO!"

Before Akaio could fall, Ekai appeared.

He caught Akaio and safely returned him to the battlefield.

"You okay?" Ekai asked.

Akaio coughed.

"Yeah."

Then everyone attacked together.

Fire attacks.

Lightning attacks.

Sword strikes.

Energy blasts.

Everything was launched toward Toyomi.

But none of it worked.

The attacks passed through him.

It was as if he didn't exist.

Toyomi laughed loudly.

"Pathetic."

The heroes began losing hope.

Then Akaio stepped forward.

His eyes glowed.

"I guess I have to use him."

He raised his hand toward the sky.

"HIKAMOTO!"

Dark clouds gathered.

The ground shook violently.

A giant shadow emerged behind Akaio.

Red eyes opened within the darkness.

An overwhelming pressure filled the battlefield.

"Hikamoto has arrived."

Everyone stared in awe.

Even Toyomi looked interested.

Akaio pointed toward Toyomi.

"Kill him."

Without hesitation, Hikamoto rushed forward.

Toyomi laughed.

"He can't even touch me."

But suddenly—

BAM!

A fist slammed directly into Toyomi's face.

Toyomi's eyes widened.

Blood flew through the air.

Another punch.

And another.

And another.

The ground cracked apart.

The battlefield shook violently.

For the first time, Toyomi was being overwhelmed.

Everyone cheered.

"He's winning!"

"Hikamoto is incredible!"

Toyomi wiped blood from his face.

Then he smiled.

"Interesting."

Dark energy exploded around him.

The sky turned black.

Lightning filled the clouds.

Toyomi raised both hands.

"70TH TAIL!"

A terrifying roar shook the world.

A giant creature emerged from the shadows.

Its eyes glowed red.

Its body was covered in black energy.

The legendary 70th Tail had arrived.

Hikamoto immediately attacked.

His fist moved toward the beast.

But before the attack could land—

BOOOOOM!

The 70th Tail destroyed Hikamoto instantly.

Everyone fell silent.

The powerful warrior had been defeated in a single attack.

Fear spread across the battlefield.

Then Ekai stepped forward.

Everyone looked confused.

Instead of attacking, Ekai calmly walked toward the giant beast.

The 70th Tail raised its claws.

But Ekai gently touched its head.

The beast froze.

Then Ekai spoke.

"Don't worry."

The creature looked into his eyes.

"I know your pain."

"I know you've suffered for years."

The 70th Tail listened.

"I will free the other Tails."

"But you have to help me."

The giant beast became calm.

Then it slowly nodded.

Toyomi's face turned pale.

"What?!"

The next second—

The 70th Tail grabbed Toyomi.

BOOOOOM!

Toyomi was thrown into distant mountains.

Entire cliffs collapsed.

Before Toyomi could stand up, Ekai appeared before him.

Punch!

Punch!

Punch!

Each strike created massive shockwaves.

Toyomi was completely overwhelmed.

His body became covered in injuries.

Then Ekai grabbed the dark energy inside him.

One by one, the Tails emerged.

The First Tail.

The Second Tail.

The Third Tail.

And many more.

Each one was finally freed.

Bright light filled the sky.

The freed Tails thanked Ekai before disappearing.

Soon Toyomi lost all his power.

He fell to his knees.

His reign was over.

Then Ekai raised his hand.

"Guardian."

A giant guardian appeared behind him.

It towered over mountains.

Divine energy surrounded its body.

Everyone stared in awe.

Ekai pointed toward Toyomi.

"Finish him."

The guardian moved.

Only once.

FLASH!

A beam of light crossed the battlefield.

Toyomi froze.

Then slowly fell to the ground.

Dead.

The battle was finally over.

The world had been saved.

Several Months Later

Peace returned.

Cities were rebuilt.

People celebrated.

For the first time in years, there was no war.

One day Hikamo prepared for a journey.

"Well," he said.

"It's time for me to go."

Akaio smiled.

"Take care."

Ekai nodded.

"We'll meet again."

Hikamo laughed.

"I hope so."

Then he left.

After he disappeared, Akaio looked toward Ekai.

"You know something?"

"What?"

"We've spent years fighting."

Ekai nodded.

"That's true."

Akaio grinned.

"So let's take a vacation."

Ekai raised an eyebrow.

"A vacation?"

"Yeah."

"For once let's relax."

Ekai thought for a moment.

Then smiled.

"Okay."

Akaio jumped excitedly.

"Really?"

"Sure."

Akaio laughed.

"I'll bring 150 million."

Ekai blinked.

"That's a lot."

"How much will you bring?"

"The same."

Akaio froze.

"Another 150 million?"

"Yep."

"That's 300 million total!"

Ekai laughed.

"We'll be fine."

The next day they boarded a luxurious private ship.

The ocean stretched endlessly around them.

The sky was bright blue.

Akaio immediately jumped into the water.

"Splash!"

"Come on, Ekai!"

"Let's swim!"

Ekai remained on the ship.

"I'm fine."

Akaio laughed.

"You're boring."

Hours passed peacefully.

No enemies.

No battles.

Only friendship.

As the sun began setting, Akaio climbed back onto the ship.

"Hey, Ekai."

"What?"

"How much money have we spent today?"

Ekai thought for a moment.

"About 200 thousand."

Akaio nearly fell over.

"WHAT?!"

Ekai laughed.

"We're rich."

Akaio shook his head.

"If we keep spending like that for eight days, we'll spend millions."

"Probably."

Akaio sat beside him.

"By the way..."

"Where are we going?"

Ekai pointed toward the horizon.

Far away, an island appeared.

White beaches.

Crystal-clear water.

Luxury buildings.

Huge forests.

A hidden paradise.

Akaio's eyes sparkled.

"Wow..."

Ekai smiled.

"We're going to a private island."

Akaio grinned.

"This is going to be the best vacation ever."

Neither of them noticed a mysterious figure standing on the island's highest cliff.

The stranger watched the ship approach.

Then he smiled.

"Welcome."
