Before Inv can say anything else, I'm already starting to clean the side of his neck, which I can feel Inv shudder from.
In amusement from Inv's shudders, i keep cleaning.

Over the time of cleaning Inv's from his neck down, Inv has completely relaxed. At this point now letting out back to back purrs of comfort.
In all honesty i wasnt sure if I was going to be able to do this so well at first. But over time, I'm pretty confident at this point that I'm doing a pretty good job.

At least that's what I expect from all of Inv's purr's atleast.
Having cleaned his neck, I licked his chest clean which was… definitely a highlight of this moment.
I can't express how happy I am to be able to make Inv feel like this. All those cycles of licking myself like a cat are really paying off right now!!!
And his fur, holy moly his fur. It's like it's completely transformed into an even softer version of itself!
Feeling the softness of his fur and his purr's I keep on cleaning, eventually cleaning up his stomach.
With his stomach clean, most of his front area is clean. Unless I go down… even further…

Not hearing anything from Inv, I curiously raise myself up. Looking at his face, I still see his eyes wide open…

'Wait… are they actually open?' I think, waiting for any sign of Inv actually being awake.

In the silence I can hear tiny snores coming from inv. Confirming to me that he's actually asleep.
'Almost forgot his eyelids were weird like that, it still looks like he's wide awake even though he's asleep' while thinking this, I slowly get off of Inv.
Standing back up now I look down at the sleeping Inv, with a moment finally to myself. One that doesnt include me floating in some black void…

'These past 2 cycles… have definitely been a huge change in my life. These 2 cycles have felt much longer than the previous thousands of cycles before it. Probably because I was by myself…'
Looking down at the peaceful Inv, I feel a smile grow on my face.
I feel like I finally have an actual reason to keep going in this world.
I truly can't even believe I got this far without any clear goal.
When I first woke up I just… did what one would usually try when they play the game. Reach Five Pebbles, get the echos, then ascend.

I was just mindlessly grinding my way to my own self destruction. Not caring how many times I died in the process. I mean, what else could I do in a world such as this?

'But now… I finally have a purpose…' I think as I look down at Inv.

(bit of a story break right here, i actually did write something at this part. But I thought it went just a bit too far. So I may upload it in a side story with an explicit rating. This part would basically be Joseph giving Inv a full clean. That's about it. It wouldnt be highly explicit but it would explain some things i dont think i could keep in this chapter unless i turned this story explicit. Apologies for the sudden story break)

With immense satisfaction I look down at the fully cleaned Inv, his fur even shining with a more ethereal blue than before.
'That wasn't so bad… Inv is definitely a deep sleeper. I flipped him over and he still didn't wake up. Must've been really tired…' I think as I get Inv in a more comfortable position.
All that's left is cleaning myself up which should be much easier due to my size.

After fully cleaning myself, I can now confidently say that we're both clean! The best part? I get to a hug a fluffy Inv~
Giving myself a good stretch, I'm about to lay down in a comfortable position next to Inv until I notice something out of the corner of my eye.
Turning my head, I see the piece of metal I've been using as a makeshift mirror…
Letting curiosity get the better of me, I walk up to the piece of metal. Slowly lifting it to lean on the wall of the shelter.
With Inv asleep it should be alright to do this…

Looking at myself in the mirror. I can now see how my eye has exactly changed.
'Wow… this is weird…'
What used to be a big black dot as an eye is now replaced with… a blue dot that is constantly changing with shifting variations of blue. Just like Inv's fur and skin…
Right below the eye, where Inv's scratch used to be is now a simple line leading right up into my eye. As if connected to the eye somehow…

Wanting to test out if it works exactly just like Inv's skin. I start trying to feel different emotions.
