"Want to do it again?" Joey asked in a hushed whisper.

"Y-yea??" Inv said back, speech slurred from the thought of 'kissing' again.
Seeing Inv start to slightly drool from the question, Joseph let out a small laugh.
He couldn't believe that just 2 cycles ago he was all by himself to now making out with the first being that hasn't hurt him.
Before Joseph could think any further he saw inv reaching for another batfly off the spear that had 5 more piked on it.
"I-Inv, what are you doing?"
"Uhh… I'm going to chew the batfly? Don't we need that to… kiss??"

Joseph, processing what Inv just said let out a small giggle.
"No Inv, we dont need any batflys. Just the 2 of us~" Joseph said in a more flirty voice.
Joseph was about to lean even closer for another kiss until suddenly realizing…
'Wait… the batflys! I'm still in a starving state! How did I forget that?' Joseph pulled his face back from inv's. Wondering why he wasn't feeling the side effects one would usually when in a starved state.
It only went away when he… felt Inv's tongue enter his mouth?
As much as Joseph would like to say his own attraction for Inv got rid of the side effects. Joseph understood being in a starved state should massively make him weaker…

'Wasn't there one passive in Inv's list that said his saliva has unknown effects on different species??' Joseph thought, wondering if Inv's saliva gave him such a boost in… everything…
"J-Joey?" Inv whimpered, not sure why Joey moved his face away from his.
"S-sorry Inv! Give me one sec! Let me eat those batflys real quick" Joseph said while standing up and hopping off Inv's back.
After hearing Joey's explanation, Inv felt relieved. He was so caught up in doing that 'kissing' thing again that he forgot Joey still had to eat!
"I-its enough, right?" Inv asked as he watched Joey start pulling one of the dead batflys off of the spear.
"Yup, the perfect amount. Thank you Inv, really… I would be dead right now if it weren't for you…" Joseph said, thanking Inv from the bottom of his heart.
"O-of course! I would do anything for you!" Inv said to his partner, feeling immensely thankful that Joey even existed.
Hearing Inv's response, Joseph froze midway from biting the batfly. But not long enough for Inv to question it. Feeling even more flustered, Joseph started eating the batfly's. Practically stuffing them in his mouth so he could get rid of his starved state even sooner.
Eating the last batfly, Joseph felt his strength start to quickly grow. His fur starting to become bright pink once again.
Seeing this, Inv felt happy seeing Joey better! Making sure to remember that Joey would need 6 batflys to get better in the future if this ever happened again!
Once Joseph finally got rid of his starved state. He felt… weird.
He felt like he had way more energy than usual! He felt… stronger! He felt like he could take on a train lizard and win! He would still die but thats just how he felt right now!
'Holy shit! Is Inv's saliva like a stat boost?! Is this what taking meth feels like?!' Joseph thought while feeling the best he ever has.
Among both this feeling and wanting to kiss Inv again, Joseph felt a big smile stretch across his face.

Seeing Joey's head turn to him, Inv suddenly felt like prey. He wasnt sure why, but the way Joey was smiling at him… Inv felt his heartbeats rapidly beat in his ears.
"Hey Invvv~" Joey said walking right up next to Inv, slowly starting to rub the side of his back. Inv was still laying down on his stomach so Joseph could easily reach.
"Y-yeah?" Inv stuttered, his skin flashing a bright red from Joey's sudden touch.
"You said you would do anything for me… right?"
"Y-yes?" Inv nodded back.
"Good… roll over for me~" Joseph said, starting to slightly nudge Inv's side.
"R-roll over?"
"Mhm, it will be much better, trust me~"
Inv wasn't sure why Joseph wanted him to roll over… but…
"O-ok" Inv listened to Joey and rolled onto his back, feeling more exposed in a position like this.
Seeing Inv listen to him filled Joseph with excitement. While the kiss he just experienced with Inv was… breath taking, literally, the position they were in was weird. Inv turning his neck at 180 degrees not able to hold Joey at all during the kiss? Joseph liked the freakiness, but he wanted something more passionate. Where the both of them would have full control over their body's.
Bringing his claws out, Joseph got on all 4's. While he wasnt able to move as fast as Inv, he could still slowly walk around in this state.
Moving to the end of Inv's thick tail that was straightened on the floor of the shelter. Joseph starts to slowly walk on his tail. Knowing that the size difference between them, Joseph knew this wouldn't hurt Inv at all.
Inv, looking down at Joey who was slowly crawling his way up to his face, shivered every time feeling Joey's claws touch his skin.
"Does this remind you of something Inv~?" Inv heard Joey ask as he was crawling up his stomach.
Inv wasn't able to come up with an answer, too flustered to answer.
"It was last cycle when you almost walked away from me… when we became partners~"
Inv remembered, he had almost mistook Joey's answer as a no to him. To being friends. Then he was tackled out by Joey in surprise…
"We were in the same position as well… me on top of you~" Joey crawled along Inv's chest, reaching Inv's face.
Joseph put his face above Inv's. Their lips once again so close.
"There was only one thing I wanted at that very moment~" Joseph whispered.
"W-w-what was it?" Inv asked back, his voice barely audible.
Inv felt Joey's small body laying on top of his, feeling things he's never felt before… the biggest one being…
Attraction.
Joseph, attempting to wrap his arms around the upper part of Inv's chest only said one thing.
