Chapter 220 - Chapter 223

  Chapter 223 Thor's Stimulation

Asgardians are naturally strong, and Thor is among the best, especially since he is of Odin's blood and possesses divine power.

Although he hasn't awakened it yet and can't use it much, he is still one of the strongest warriors in Asgard, provided he has his hammer.

After getting up, Finney immediately used the Flight spell to fly into the air, with Thor chasing closely behind, hammer in hand.

Although Thor can fly with Mjolnir, he is not actually good at aerial combat, since flying with one hand holding the hammer will inevitably affect his attack movements.

Finney's fourth skill was Flight, and over the years, aerial combat has become one of his most familiar fighting styles.

As the saying goes, a mage who can't kite isn't a good mage, and Finney considers himself a qualified mage, so he adopted this mage-style fighting style.

  "Explosion!"

A pillar of fire suddenly appeared. With the double boost of the Golden Evolution Technique and the Breathing Technique, the 'Explosion Magic', even if cast instantly, was not weak in effect.

Thor, who was in pursuit, was momentarily knocked to the ground.

However, as the prince of Asgard, Thor's armor was also extraordinary, in addition to his divine hammer, and he was unharmed by the blow.

Seeing this, Phineas began to chant:

"Blacker than black, the darkest of blacks,"

  "Merge with my crimson!"

To let the surrounding Asgardians know he was a mage, Phineas deliberately raised his voice slightly so they could hear.

"The moment of awakening has arrived,"

"Fall into the realm of infallibility!"

Of course, this also meant Thor heard it. Thor had witnessed the power of Phineas's 'explosion magic' and had also learned from Heimdall that Phineas had used this magic to destroy the entire Chitauri fleet.

So his expression changed instantly. He didn't have time to fly to Phineas's side again, and immediately raised his arm high, holding Mjolnir high. Arcs of electricity crackled around him, and a small thundercloud instantly gathered above Phineas.

  "Crack!"

Before Phineas could finish his incantation, a silver bolt of lightning suddenly struck from the booming thundercloud, accurately hitting him.

Perhaps due to insufficient preparation time, the lightning was somewhat small, but Phineas still didn't want to be hit.

He hadn't closed his eyes while incantating, and he had seen Thor raise the hammer; given the huge commotion above, he must have heard it even if he couldn't see it.

Facing Thor's sudden attack, Phineas didn't choose to dodge or move. Instead, he continued incantating with one hand outstretched, while simultaneously drawing a quick circle above his head with his other hand.

Instantly, a golden portal sparkling with fire appeared above Phineas's head.

The lightning was incredibly fast, 'whoosh,' passing through the portal and reappearing right in front of Thor.

Thor was momentarily stunned to see the lightning bolt, intended to interrupt Phineas's spell, suddenly appear before him.

Although he himself had unleashed the lightning, it didn't stop upon seeing him and struck Thor accurately. Fortunately, the lightning wasn't very powerful, only causing his body to tremble slightly and feel somewhat numb.

"Fall into the realm of infallibility,"

  "Form the formless distortion."

  "Explosion!"

But in that short time, Phineas had already finished chanting his 'Explosion Magic'.

A crimson magic circle enveloped most of the dueling arena. The overwhelming red light caused the Asgardians around to stop cheering, standing frozen in place, staring in horror at the scene before them.

  "Boom!"

A deafening explosion rang out, and the Asgardians witnessed for the first time this unique 'explosive magic' in the universe!

Although this 'explosive magic' was extremely powerful, Phineas had actually controlled it intentionally; at least the center of the explosion wasn't locked onto Thor.

After all, he didn't intend to kill Thor; if he had, Odin would probably have stormed Earth in no time.

  "Thor!"

  "Your Highness!"

But the surrounding crowd, unaware of Phineas's intentions, cried out in worry. Sif even tried to rush over, but was fortunately stopped by Fandral and the others.

The explosion lasted only a moment. After it subsided, everyone quickly looked towards Thor's previous location, and the result brought them a slight sigh of relief.

Thor knelt on the ground, looking disheveled. His armor was no longer as gleaming as it once was, and parts of his golden hair were singed.

Although he looked pitiful, his injuries weren't actually too serious.

The Asgardians around him, instead of expressing anger or cursing, cheered him on.

  "Go for it, Your Highness!"

"Rise up, for the glory of Asgard!"

  "Thor, go for it!"

  "Go for it!"

Hearing the encouragement of the people around him, Thor tightened his grip on Mjolnir, suddenly feeling a surge of power within him, and he stood up abruptly.

Seeing Thor stand, the crowd cheered loudly. They didn't know that Phineas had deliberately controlled his attack; after witnessing the terrifying, apocalyptic 'explosive magic,' they only felt that Thor's ability to stand upright was already incredibly powerful.

Meanwhile, Phineas, in the air, sensed something was amiss after seeing Thor stand up.

Thor was looking up at him, his body crackling with electricity, and most importantly, his eyes were also faintly glowing with electricity, appearing silvery.

Finney's expression turned serious. Thor seemed to be on the verge of awakening his divine power!

If Thor truly awakened his full power, he'd be like a cow sitting on an electric wire, incredibly powerful and lightning-fast; Finney might not be able to defeat him.

Having finally gained some arrogance, Finney didn't want to be defeated. More importantly, if he lost, it would not only be embarrassing, but he would also lose experience.

Without time to think, Finney unleashed another 'Explosion Magic', hoping to end the battle quickly before Thor could recover.

Seeing the sudden pillar of fire, Thor wasn't hit this time. His body crackling with electricity, he accelerated away from his original position, then raised his hammer and unleashed a bolt of lightning back at Finney.

This lightning bolt was not only much faster, but also more than twice as thick as before.

Finney's expression changed slightly; he dared not be careless. He dodged the attack, a slight regret creeping into his heart. He should have positioned himself closer to Thor at the center of the explosion. Even if Thor was seriously injured, he could simply recover using the Fourth Bullet.

But regret was useless now. Finney sighed, his expression turning serious beneath his visor. This time, he wouldn't hesitate; he would fight as he saw fit.

As long as he didn't kill him, everything would be fine.
