Miyamoto Tokima pushed the door open and saw four people inside.
They were Miyamoto Hiroshi and three strangers.
Two men and one woman.
One was an elderly man with graying hair, wearing glasses, with a gentle and kindly expression.
Another was a middle-aged man in a black suit, smiling faintly.
The woman was a middle-aged lady dressed in a red evening gown.
Seeing his son arrive, Miyamoto Hiroshi quickly pulled Miyamoto Tokima over.
"Everyone, let me introduce you. This is my son, Miyamoto Tokima!"
The middle-aged man immediately stepped forward and extended his hand with a smile.
"So this is your son! Quite a fine young man!"
"Hello, Young Master Tokima. My name is Kōsei Shōta."
Miyamoto Tokima shook his hand politely.
He then greeted the elderly man and the middle-aged woman as well.
The elderly man was named Ueda Takuya, and the woman was Hikari Yuka.
Miyamoto Tokima had no impression of the woman, but the name Ueda Takuya sounded somewhat familiar.
"Ueda Takuya… I feel like I've heard that name somewhere."
Ueda Takuya paused for a moment, then burst out laughing.
"Mr. Miyamoto, it seems your son doesn't pay much attention to matters of power."
Miyamoto Hiroshi waved his hand dismissively.
"This brat spends all day playing basketball and doesn't care about anything else. But that's fine, I trust him."
"At least for now, his old man is still around."
Ueda Takuya chuckled again, then spoke.
"Miyamoto, let me properly introduce myself."
"My name is Ueda Takuya. I am the current Prime Minister of Japan."
The moment those words fell, Miyamoto Tokima felt like he'd been struck by lightning.
Prime Minister?! Since when did that old man Miyamoto Hiroshi have the ability to get involved in political power???
Miyamoto Tokima looked at Miyamoto Hiroshi in shock, his mind flooding with questions.
Seeing his reaction, Ueda Takuya laughed again.
"Haha, looks like your son is quite surprised by my identity."
Miyamoto Hiroshi waved it off casually.
"Come on, that's just how this kid is. Alright, Tokima, today was just for you to show your face and get acquainted. You can go now."
Miyamoto Tokima clenched his teeth.
Damn it, really just here to show my face?!
But with so many people present, he didn't ask anything further. He gave a brief response and left.
After Miyamoto Tokima exited, Ueda Takuya and the others resumed their earlier discussion.
"It's been over ten years, hasn't it? It should be about time."
"Yeah… Mr. Ueda, you've really endured a lot all these years."
"Heh, what's there to endure? It's only right."
"Yuka, have you found the most critical piece yet?"
"I have. We're just waiting for the Emperor's procession."
"Good. Kōsei, in the end, we'll need you to step forward."
"Don't worry, sir. I'll definitely give it everything I've got."
"Mhm. Hiroshi and I will both support you."
"For the Miyamoto Family."
"For the Miyamoto Family!"
As Miyamoto Tokima left the meeting room, his mind was already racing.
Countless possibilities flashed through his head, but in the end, only one seemed truly plausible.
That was…
Replacing the Emperor of Japan!
And the replacement was most likely that middle-aged man, Kōsei!
As for Ueda, he was clearly acting as a supporter behind the scenes. And that middle-aged woman…
Miyamoto Tokima muttered in disbelief:
"Damn… she can't possibly be the boss behind the number one male gunner on the Japan server, right?!"
The more he thought about it, the more unreal everything felt. His father had been preparing this plan for so many years…
And now…
…they were going this big!
There were simply too many things involved. Miyamoto Tokima couldn't even imagine the consequences if it failed.
At the same time, another question surfaced in his mind. After all these years of planning, what was the purpose of replacing the Emperor of Japan?
They couldn't be thinking of turning it into a province of Dragon Nation, right?
Holy shit!
Miyamoto Tokima's heart jolted.
"No way… Dad, you're not seriously thinking that, are you???"
He was completely numb now. He knew his family was powerful, wealthy, and even had influence in the United States.
But he never imagined they would set their sights on an entire country like Japan!
This…
This is just…
Insane!!!
...
Bang! Bang! Bang!
"Haizaki, as you are now, you're nowhere near enough to stop me."
Daiki Aomine dribbled the ball expressionlessly, his deep blue eyes radiating a chilling intensity.
Sweat dripped continuously from Shogo Haizaki's face as he panted heavily.
He wiped his face and said hoarsely:
"Whether I can stop you or not… we'll find out on the court!"
Daiki Aomine spoke again.
"We've been playing this long already. You still haven't given up?"
Shogo Haizaki let out a strange laugh.
"Aomine, haven't you given up either? Even with the score gap this big!"
Daiki Aomine stiffened slightly and glanced at the scoreboard.
There was still time left in the third quarter.
But the score was already 67 to 41.
Even though Daiki Aomine had been unstoppable in the third quarter, tearing through Shuzo Nijimura's defense at will to score,
he still couldn't stop the overwhelming offensive tide of Kirisaki Daiichi.
Kirisaki Daiichi's offense was terrifying.
They didn't just have one scoring point, they had five.
All five were scoring threats.
And what about Tōō?
Right now, Tōō only had Daiki Aomine as a reliable offensive option. The others simply couldn't score consistently against Kirisaki Daiichi.
Kirisaki Daiichi thought the same. They had no intention of double-teaming Daiki Aomine.
Instead, they assigned one player to guard him, first Shuzo Nijimura, and now Shogo Haizaki.
They were going to go head-to-head with him offensively.
At first, Shuzo Nijimura had no choice but to accept it, he simply couldn't stop Aomine.
Later, Shogo Haizaki took the initiative to request the assignment, insisting on guarding him.
Unable to refuse, Shuzo Nijimura stepped aside.
It could be said that the entire third quarter was Aomine overwhelming Haizaki…
while Kirisaki Daiichi overwhelmed the rest of Tōō.
Daiki Aomine let out a helpless sigh.
He had already done everything he could. On offense, he had been nearly perfect.
But it didn't matter, the gap in overall strength between the two teams was simply too large.
This wasn't something one player exploding could make up for.
Shogo Haizaki, still panting, laughed again.
"So, Aomine… we're the same kind of people. Both stubborn to the extreme!"
"Come on! Attack!"
Daiki Aomine paused for a moment, then smiled.
"Heh, Haizaki… you really haven't changed. Honestly, I kind of like that about you."
"Since you're asking for it…"
"Then let's go!"
