Chapter 51 - Chapter Fifty-One: The Board Has Been Made Equal

The following morning began with a crash.

Not an attack.

Not an explosion.

Just a door being slammed hard enough that half of Grimmauld Place rattled.

Harry stormed down the staircase.

His boots struck each step like hammer blows.

His Saiyan tail lashed violently behind him.

Anyone who knew him well immediately recognized the warning signs.

He was angry.

Not irritated.

Not annoyed.

Angry.

The kind of anger that Harry rarely showed anymore.

Years of living other lives had taught him patience.

Pandora had taught him grief.

Narnia had taught him sacrifice.

Dragon Ball had taught him discipline.

Avatar had taught him balance.

When Harry Potter lost his temper now, it meant something had gone very wrong.

Ron poked his head out of a bedroom.

"...Should we stop him?"

"No," Hermione replied instantly.

"Why?"

"Because I enjoy being alive."

Ron considered that.

"Fair."

Downstairs, Harry marched directly toward the basement training complex that had become the Order's primary training area over the summer.

The heavy doors slammed open.

Then shut.

Everyone exchanged glances.

A few moments later Sirius appeared carrying a mug of tea.

"What happened?"

"Not sure," Remus replied.

"But Harry looked ready to strangle someone."

Moody's magical eye rotated.

"Training room."

Immediately everyone understood.

Without another word they began making their way toward the observation gallery overlooking the reinforced combat chamber.

By the time they arrived, Harry was already standing in the center of the room.

Head lowered.

Arms folded.

Tail twitching.

The air around him vibrated.

No magic.

No wand.

Just power.

Raw power.

Dangerous power.

Vale arrived alongside Amelia Bones.

Dumbledore followed moments later.

Even Snape had appeared.

Nobody wanted to miss whatever was about to happen.

Below them, Harry finally spoke.

"Room."

The enchanted chamber responded instantly.

"Combat simulation."

A pause.

Then:

"Frieza Force."

The room glowed.

Hundreds of figures appeared.

Armored soldiers.

Scouters.

Energy rifles.

Alien warriors.

An entire army.

Exactly as Harry remembered them.

The room fell silent.

Harry slowly lifted his head.

His eyes burned.

Then—

Gold.

White.

Silver.

The transformation exploded outward.

The chamber shook.

Walls groaned.

Windows rattled.

Everyone instinctively stepped backward.

Super Saiyan Five.

White fur covered Harry's arms.

His hair cascaded down his back.

Silver-white energy erupted around him like a living storm.

Lightning danced through the chamber.

The temperature spiked.

The floor cracked beneath his feet.

The soldiers never stood a chance.

Harry vanished.

The first rank exploded.

Not from magic.

Not from spells.

From a single punch.

The shockwave alone obliterated twenty soldiers.

The rest opened fire.

Ki blasts filled the air.

Harry moved.

Faster than sight.

One soldier disappeared beneath a spinning kick.

Another was driven into the floor.

A third lost consciousness before realizing Harry had reached him.

Boom.

Boom.

Boom.

The chamber became chaos.

Harry moved through the army like a force of nature.

Every strike precise.

Every movement controlled.

Years.

Decades.

Lifetimes of combat experience on display.

One soldier tried fleeing.

Harry pointed.

A beam of ki crossed the room.

Gone.

Nothing remained.

The spectators watched in silence.

Even Moody looked uncomfortable.

Harry wasn't sparring.

He wasn't training.

He was venting.

The distinction mattered.

A soldier charged.

Harry caught him by the face.

Dragged him through three others.

Then launched all four into the ceiling.

A massive blue beam followed.

The explosion shook the observation deck.

Fred swallowed.

"Remind me."

George nodded.

"Never."

"Ever."

"Make Harry angry."

Nobody disagreed.

Below them, the final soldier attacked from behind.

Harry didn't even turn around.

A wave of telekinetic force crushed him into the floor.

Silence.

The first army was gone.

The room reset.

Harry took one breath.

Then spoke.

"Again."

The army returned.

And Harry started over.

The second army lasted four minutes.

The third lasted three.

The fourth barely survived two.

By the fifth, Harry was combining techniques.

Water whips.

Earth spikes.

Fire streams.

Air blades.

Ki beams.

Martial arts.

Saiyan instincts.

The chamber became an encyclopedia of everything he had learned throughout his journeys.

The sixth army died beneath a massive Kamehameha.

The seventh beneath a tornado of ice and lightning.

The eighth never even reached him.

Harry floated several feet above the ground.

Arms folded.

Eyes glowing.

Then he unleashed a sphere of energy that engulfed the entire battlefield.

When the light faded,

Nothing remained.

The chamber was empty.

Completely silent.

Harry landed.

His transformation faded.

The white hair vanished.

The aura disappeared.

His knees buckled slightly.

He conjured a bench.

Then sat.

Breathing heavily.

For several moments nobody spoke.

Nobody moved.

Nobody even seemed capable of speech.

Finally—

Moody cleared his throat.

"Well."

Everyone turned toward him.

The old Auror pointed at Harry.

"That's why nobody messes with an angry Saiyan."

Silence.

Then Snape nodded.

Actually nodded.

"A surprisingly intelligent observation."

The room froze.

Moody blinked.

Snape blinked.

Neither seemed entirely sure what had just happened.

Eventually Sirius broke into laughter.

The tension shattered instantly.

Twenty minutes later everyone gathered for breakfast.

The dining room was quieter than usual.

Not because people lacked conversation.

But because they were still processing what they had just witnessed.

Harry eventually entered.

He looked calmer.

Still tired.

Still irritated.

But calmer.

He grabbed a plate and sat down.

Immediately Sirius leaned forward.

"What happened?"

Harry sighed.

Everyone waited.

"It was the dream."

The room grew still.

"Voldemort."

Every face hardened.

Harry rubbed his eyes.

"He used the dimensional spell."

Nobody spoke.

"He ended up in Dragon Ball."

Vale's expression immediately changed.

"Oh no."

Harry pointed at her.

"Exactly."

Amelia frowned.

"What happened?"

Harry looked around the table.

Then answered.

"He became Zamasu."

Silence.

Dead silence.

Ron slowly lowered his fork.

Hermione's eyes widened.

Remus looked confused.

Sirius looked confused.

Most of the room looked confused.

Vale did not.

Neither did Dumbledore.

Both immediately went pale.

Harry noticed.

"Yeah."

Sirius frowned.

"What?"

Harry exhaled.

"He followed the same path."

"Meaning?"

"He became Fused Zamasu."

Nobody moved.

Harry continued.

"He experienced everything."

"The divine ki."

"The god powers."

"The Supreme Kai magic."

"The immortality."

"The Zero Mortal Plan."

The room grew colder.

Harry leaned back.

"When he returned..."

He paused.

"...he kept it."

Forks dropped.

Chairs scraped.

Several people swore.

Kingsley looked horrified.

Amelia looked ready to arrest reality itself.

Remus stared.

"You're saying,"

Harry nodded.

"Voldemort now possesses the magical knowledge of a Supreme Kai."

A pause.

"And the combat ability of someone who reached Super Saiyan Blue."

Nobody spoke.

Nobody knew how.

Eventually Dumbledore sighed.

A very long sigh.

Then he said the words everyone was thinking.

"The board has just been made equal."

The room fell silent again.

Because they all understood.

For years.

Harry had been becoming stronger.

Growing.

Evolving.

Now Voldemort had done the same.

Vale eventually broke the silence.

"I need context."

Harry looked at her.

"Context?"

She nodded.

"The fight."

"What fight?"

"The one against Fused Zamasu."

Several heads nodded.

Harry sighed.

Then stood.

"Fine."

He walked over to the Pensieve.

Placed a hand against his temple.

Silver memories emerged.

One after another.

The basin filled.

Everyone gathered around.

Then they entered.

The battle unfolded around them.

A ruined future.

Destroyed cities.

Broken skies.

Harry.

Goku.

Vegeta.

Trunks.

Zamasu.

Goku Black.

The fusion.

The impossible power.

The sheer scale.

Entire mountains vanished.

Reality fractured.

Divine energy tore apart continents.

Even those who had already witnessed Harry's Saiyan memories found themselves stunned all over again.

When Vegito Blue appeared—

Half the room forgot to breathe.

When Fused Zamasu transformed—

Amelia muttered a prayer.

When reality itself began collapsing,

Even Dumbledore looked unsettled.

Then came Zeno.

The erasure.

The complete destruction of a timeline.

Nothing left.

Not even atoms.

When the memory ended,

Nobody spoke.

Nobody could.

The implications were too large.

Too terrifying.

Too real.

Eventually Amelia Bones broke the silence.

"We need to step up our training."

Simple.

Direct.

Accurate.

One by one heads nodded.

Dumbledore.

Moody.

Kingsley.

McGonagall.

Remus.

Sirius.

Even Snape.

Especially Snape.

Because for once, everyone understood exactly how dangerous the future had become.

Breakfast ended shortly afterward.

Nobody lingered.

Nobody relaxed.

The atmosphere had changed.

People moved with purpose.

Determination.

Focus.

The war had just become far more dangerous.

And everyone knew it.

Groups began heading downstairs toward the combat chambers.

Others moved toward the garden.

Some practiced ki control.

Some worked on flight.

Others trained bending techniques.

Water.

Earth.

Fire.

Air.

Harry watched them from the doorway.

The Order.

His friends.

His family.

Training harder than ever.

Preparing.

Growing stronger.

Because somewhere out there,

Voldemort was doing exactly the same thing.

And for the first time in a long time, neither side held the advantage.

The next battle would decide everything.
