A computer science student happened to be passing by and saw the whole thing. He immediately rushed off to tell Shen Yi.
Shen Yi was incredibly busy these days—so busy he didn't even have time for lunch with Qin Jiao. The young couple could only get affectionate at night, back in their home at the Rose District.
His professor had just assigned him a design project when he heard a classmate say that Shen Feng had actually confessed to his girlfriend, Qin Jiao. Shen Yi immediately abandoned his half-finished program—and his professor—and bolted toward the law school.
But when he got there, he didn't see Qin Jiao. Instead, he heard she was at the library, so he took off running again.
He ran into Qin Jiao on the way.
Qin Jiao watched him approach, his forehead covered in sweat from rushing. It was already almost October, and Octobers in North City were cool. There was no reason for anyone to be sweating so profusely.
"Shen Yi, what's wrong?"
