Claire Sinclair grew restless. Unable to bear it any longer, she ran to Henry Hartwell's office to ask, "Teacher Hartwell, do you know what kind of mission Mr. Quincy is on?"
Henry Hartwell smiled. "How could I possibly know something like that? It's a Quincy Manor secret. Why don't you call and ask him yourself?"
With red-rimmed eyes and a voice full of grievance, Claire Sinclair said, "I can't get through to his phone, and I can't reach Aiden Howkins or Nancy either. You don't think something happened, do you?"
"Don't let your imagination run wild. There are many reasons you can't get through. They could be at an important event where phones are prohibited, or they could be on a mission deep in the mountains with no signal."
Claire Sinclair couldn't understand. "Why would Quincy Manor carry out this kind of mission?"
'Besides, Adrian Quincy is the leader. Leaders shouldn't have to go to the front lines themselves, right?'
