"Mhm," Ashley Bowen nodded silently. At that moment, a lump formed in her throat, and before she could stop them, tears started to fall.
"Silly girl, why are you leaking from up here when you're already leaking from down there?" Yuri Sinclair teased, wiping her tears with his finger.
She didn't know whether to laugh or cry. She shot him a resentful glare. "Why do you have to be so crude? The ancients compared tears to nectar and ambrosia, and you compare them to pee."
"Other people's tears are nectar and ambrosia. Yours aren't," Yuri said, deliberately teasing her to make her happy.
But she was crying and laughing at the same time, and the tears only flowed faster.
"Yuri Sinclair, don't you dare be this good to me! Don't you dare!" she repeated, pounding his chest with her fists.
