"Honestly, what are you doing buying so many storefronts? Don't you have quite a few already?" Hayley poked her, laughing as she playfully scolded her.

Grace Winslow nodded. "Yeah, I have more than a dozen now. They're all assets that will appreciate in value. When you have the money, it's never a bad idea to buy more and just let them sit."

"That's true. I've bought a few myself. I can leave them to my children someday," Hayley agreed.

'After all, what do people strive for in life if not land and property?'

Farmland around Coronet was difficult to trade; she didn't have the connections even if she wanted to buy some. Houses, on the other hand, were fair game.
