Grace Winslow's injury wasn't serious. A bullet had only grazed her, taking a small piece of skin with it.
After two days of rest, the wound was almost completely healed.
The next day, a few senior practitioners of traditional Chinese medicine came to see Archer Rhys. They stayed in his hospital room for half the day before leaving together.
Grace Winslow went in and asked him what they had said, but Archer Rhys just smiled, shook his head, and said it was nothing.
"You're not hiding anything from me, are you? It has to do with your wound not healing, doesn't it? What kind of poison is it? Why are there still no signs of it getting better?" Grace Winslow's brow was furrowed in a tight knot, and a deep sense of unease filled her heart.
She grabbed Archer Rhys by the collar and threatened fiercely, "Archer Rhys, don't you forget, your life belongs to me now. If anything happens to you, I... I'll never forgive you!"
