"What? Did you have your son with my dad? Is that why you think you're entitled to our house?" Grace shot back, not holding back at all.
Patricia Payne trembled with rage. She shot up from her seat to slap Grace.
But Grace had no intention of just standing there and taking it, and she easily dodged the slap.
Patricia Payne lost her balance and stumbled forward, falling flat on her face.
Grace stood a short distance away, looking down at the woman sprawled before her. She couldn't help but chuckle. "Aunt Patricia, why are you giving a junior like me such a formal bow? I'm not worthy."
"You... you... you! This is outrageous! You've gone too far! Stephen Lynch, are you going to rein in your niece or not?" Patricia Payne, still on the floor, shrieked as she slammed her hand against the ground, her face contorted with rage at Grace's words.
Stephen Lynch's face hardened. "Grace," he said coldly, "apologize to your aunt!"
