When she got home, she found Wyatt Winslow was there. The table was laden with fruit and snacks. She put down her schoolbag, picked up an apple, and started munching on it. "This is so sweet! Dad, our final exam results are out."
"I got the last math problem right on my first try, but I changed the answer when I was double-checking and got it wrong."
"I shouldn't have changed it."
She whined to Wyatt Winslow like a seven-year-old.
Wyatt Winslow had already heard about Holly Winslow's mid-term grades from Gabe Chaucer. "Just be more careful next time." As he spoke, he sized her up. She must have hit a growth spurt; she was a little thinner than before but had grown taller.

'In a few more years...'
He pressed his lips together, a complicated emotion flickering in his eyes before he returned to normal. "I didn't buy any groceries, so we're eating out tonight. What are you in the mood for?"
