The women's eyes gleamed with malice. They stopped working and gathered together to slander Rosalind Green. In their hearts, they all knew that nothing had likely happened the previous night, but they refused to believe it. They preferred to believe that Rosalind's virtue was gone for good.
"Hmph, she's probably loving it. I bet she wishes those thugs would come knocking every day!" Mandy York said with a venomous look. The truth was, she had no personal grudge against Rosalind; she just couldn't stand her bewitching looks.
"Have you all got nothing better to do? Spreading rumors behind someone's back all day... You'd better watch out, or you'll get what's coming to you!"
