Leona Grant followed Stuart's gaze and saw Annabelle Linton leaning on the balcony, smiling as she watched them.
Her long hair drifted and the hem of her dress billowed in the wind. She had a languid look on her face, a look of simple yet profound contentment.
"Stuart, go tell your mommy to come down."
Leona Grant was a neat freak and had a genuine aversion to cats and dogs; he was allergic to their fur.
It was an exaggeration to say the mere sight of them made him dizzy, but he definitely couldn't be in close contact with them.
He had never been around animals like that his entire life, but for Annabelle Linton's sake, he had decided to keep the dog.
To put it bluntly, he was only jealous of the dog because of Aaron Wyatt. In his mind, the dog was a stand-in for Aaron Wyatt.
But Annabelle Linton had chosen him over the dog, agreeing to send Stuart away. In his heart, that was an indirect sign that she had also chosen him over Aaron Wyatt.
