Leona Grant opened the door. The light from the hallway stretched his tall figure into a long shadow, giving him a cold and solitary air.
He pursed his lips. He had no idea where he should go. 'It's like nobody needs me anywhere, is it?'
Finally, he softly uttered two words, "Go home."
After seeing that woman just now, he missed Annabelle Linton even more.
'I should go back and see her.'
'Maybe, for Aaron Wyatt's sake, she'll make me dinner again, talk to me, and sleep with me. That wouldn't be so bad, would it?'
'At least I can still enjoy her kindness, even if it has an ulterior motive.'
So, he had to go back.
Besides, this place was full of unsavory characters, and he was a married man.
