She nestled in his arms and nodded happily. She hadn't been particularly excited about the trip, but the gorgeous view suddenly filled her with anticipation. Most importantly, he was by her side. The feeling was marvelous—as if she'd rediscovered the shy, heart-pounding excitement of when they first fell in love.
They arrived at the hotel and checked into a luxurious room with a king-sized bed. Because the hotel was perfectly situated to face Lake Genovia and the Alvanor Mountains, opening the window revealed a view of the shimmering lake and the snow-capped peaks. The scene was so beautiful that even a person of her calm temperament couldn't help but shriek, "It's gorgeous! Absolutely gorgeous! Julian, hurry up and look!"
Julian Donovan set down the luggage and walked over, wrapping his arms around her from behind. She was as happy as a child. "I've never met a woman who's so easy to please."
