"Have a daughter?" Mika asked again, surprised.
"Yeah. Kiki is pretty lonely all by himself. If we could give him a little brother or sister to play with, wouldn't that be great?" In truth, Tristan Grayson had a selfish motive he didn't dare to voice. The fact was, Mika still refused to file for a marriage license with him. Even though they were set to be engaged next month and married by the end of it, he couldn't help but worry. Her personality had done a complete 180 lately. If she backed out before the engagement, what was he supposed to do? He'd thought it through, and the only foolproof method was to have more children. 'That's how I'll tie her to me for good!'
"Tristan, there's something I need to tell you." Mika was touched by Tristan's words, but a troubled look still crossed her face. She sat up straight and spoke in a low voice.
Tristan's heart gave a slight lurch. He looked at the woman beside him, worried. "What is it?"
"I'm not planning on having any more children."
