"The relative you mentioned before," he paused, his eyes darkening slightly, "...that was you, wasn't it?"
Shen Huoshui fluttered her long lashes, a faint light shimmering deep in her eyes.
"Of course not," she smiled. "Why would you think that?"
'I don't think I let anything slip, did I?'
"The theory you proposed is valid." Shen Zhi recalled Dr. Ling's incredulous tone, his gaze falling upon her delicate face. "But you don't have any relatives involved in physics research."
"You investigated me?" Shen Huoshui was noncommittal, raising an eyebrow.
"This principle is very mysterious. If it can be proven, it would be a discovery that could shake the world." A faint smile flickered across Shen Zhi's cool, refined features. "I had to be cautious."
"I was just offering a line of thought," Shen Lang paused, her tone enigmatic. "If you're all truly dedicated to the research, you'll probably uncover its secrets soon enough."
