Dinner was made by Zhu Sha and Zhou Jintang, so the others took care of washing the dishes and clearing the table. With nothing to do, Zhu Sha busied herself making drinks on the other side of the kitchen island.
By the time everyone came over, Zhu Sha had already prepared sour plum soup for them.
"I brewed the sour plum soup at noon, and it's been chilling in the fridge. The weather's too hot, so this should help everyone cool down." Zhu Sha only said this briefly, then sat in a corner of the sofa to watch everyone chat.
Zhou Jintang sat at the far end of the sofa, right across from Zhu Sha. He knew she was shy and slow to warm up, but he didn't see that as a bad thing. 'Only an inadequate man would demand more from a woman.'
