The Sterling Group R&D Building.
Silas Norwood arrived at the main entrance at two o'clock in the afternoon, right on time. As before, Director Linden was there to personally greet him. Even though this wasn't the first time she had seen him, and despite the fact that Silas was wearing a mask, Director Linden couldn't stop her eyes from drifting toward him. Her tone was very polite:
"If you're not in a hurry, you can come with me to the Human Resources department to register for an access pass. It'll save you the trouble of using a one-time temporary pass code every time you visit. Our R&D building has very strict security. The temporary codes don't work on the elevators, so you always need someone to escort you. Since you and President Sterling's happy occasion is near, you'll surely be a frequent visitor..."
Silas Norwood gave a faint nod. "Is it convenient?"
