The old woman's face was livid as she stared at Aiden Shaw. "I'm here for my family. Where did you take my daughter and my daughter-in-law? They'd better be completely unscathed, or I refuse to let this go."
"Completely unscathed? That's impossible. You'll probably have to come collect their bodies."
Aiden Shaw's large palm wrapped around Laura Lowell's small, cool hand. He turned to her. "Go on inside. It's windy out here, you'll get cold."
"Let me just say one more thing to her, then we'll go inside and eat together."
Laura Lowell took a few steps forward and looked up at Mrs. Landon. "In one hour, meet me at the coffee shop downstairs from my building. You'll be very interested in what I have."
With that, Laura Lowell peeked outside, a faint smile on her face as she looked at Keith Chambers. "Want to come in and have lunch with us?"
"Don't mind if I do. I'm starving."
