Damien Valerius came out of the bathroom, a bathrobe draped loosely over his body, his masculine aura at its peak.
Aurora Sterling gestured with her chin toward the phone on the nightstand. "Miss Jacobs called just now to ask about the project. She also asked how you were doing. I think she might've been drinking. Do you want to call her back?"
As she spoke, Aurora hadn't given it much thought, nor was she feeling particularly emotional; she was simply stating a fact. But once the words were out, she felt a subtle wrongness, a faint trace of jealousy.
Damien Valerius stood by the bed, looking at Aurora with a smile in his eyes. "That's not necessary."
With that, the man lay down on the bed.
As the mattress beside her sank, Aurora glanced at the man next to her. He was smiling suggestively, his eyes gleaming. With a mumble, she lay down and burrowed under the covers.
