"Because little boys don't like toys for little girls," Seth Quinn said matter-of-factly.
Clara ignored him. The more she looked at the music box, the more beautiful she found it, and the more certain she became that Cherie would love it. 'That settles it, this is the one.'
When they arrived at the hospital, the two of them got in an elevator and went up. The elevator stopped when the red numbers displayed the 20th floor.
The moment the elevator doors opened, Clara rushed out, only to bump into someone around the corner.
"I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry." Forgetting all about the music box that had nearly fallen to the floor, Clara hurriedly apologized to the person she'd bumped into. When she saw it was an elderly woman, she quickly asked, "Ma'am, are you all right?"
