"Maybe you shouldn't say anything. He's your father, after all. It's disrespectful for a junior to lecture an elder."
Cecilia Adler chuckled. 'So he *does* know what disrespect is.'
'He certainly didn't hold back when he was confronting his in-laws.'
"Fine, I'll listen to you." She wasn't keen on making demands of Titus Shaw anyway. She hadn't truly accepted him as her father, and he was the only one putting in the effort. She couldn't take advantage of his guilt and then play innocent.
Overhearing this, the anger in Titus Shaw's heart dissipated.
'Since you spoke up for me, you little punk, I'll let it slide.'
'I'll go a little easier on him in training for the next few days.'
'Don't want my daughter to get upset again.'
Just then, Ian Quincy said, "Cecilia, should we go inside? It's not right to just leave your father hanging out there."
Cecilia Adler agreed and went back inside with Ian Quincy.
