She returned to her room after her shower.

Cecilia Adler was towel-drying her hair and about to rest when a knock came from outside.
"Coming!"
"Cecilia, I forgot my keys when I went out. I ran into Dad, and he said he's staying the night," said Ian Quincy.
Cecilia Adler's hand, which was on the latch, stilled. "Oh, just a moment." She hurried back to her room to throw on a long coat before finally opening the main door. After greeting Jim Quincy, she turned to Ian Quincy and said, "What a coincidence, running into Dad like that."
Ian Quincy's eyes flickered.
Just moments ago, his father had come looking for him, motioning for him to step outside to talk.
That's when he learned that she had found his father today and subtly mentioned his strange behavior.
