The gloom in Cecilia Adler's heart dissipated. "Mhm! I'm so lucky to have you. Otherwise, I'd still be getting bullied." It wasn't that she hadn't considered fighting back before, but she was in an unfamiliar place with nowhere else to go.

Vivian Lee couldn't hide her delight. "Your mom is so thoughtful."
"You're her daughter-in-law. If she isn't good to you, who would she be good to? How's your foot? It's all my fault. My hand was hurting, and I reacted too slowly to catch you," Felix Flynn said, his voice full of concern.
Vivian Lee said reassuringly, "It's much better. I don't blame you."
"Let me feed you the soup." Felix Flynn opened the container, scooped some out with a spoon, and brought it to her lips.
