The husband and wife argued all night long.
It was a lose-lose situation, and neither of them ate dinner.
Cecilia Adler, on the other hand, had eaten her fill. She arrived at the family compound around noon the next day, when the sun was shining brightly.
Ian Quincy opened the door.
"Honey, what have you brought?"
"This is some honey for you," Cecilia Adler said, setting her things down. "And this is a padded cotton jacket I'm making for my grandmother back in the village. I haven't finished the edges yet, so I came over to use the sewing machine. Have you eaten?"
"I was just about to head out for a bite."
"We have ingredients at home, why didn't you cook?" Cecilia Adler asked as she went into the kitchen to wash her hands and prepare a meal.
Ian Quincy replied, "Cooking three meals a day would take up too much of my time."
'He has a point,' Cecilia thought. A decent meal takes at least an hour to make.
