Evidently, in the deepest parts of the Nine Great Forbidden Lands within the Sea of Chaos, slumbered endlessly ancient beings. An unknown number of Eras of Chaos ago, they had already attained the Three Great Immortals and reached the peak of the Three Immortal Realms.
However, they could never take that final step, unable to merge the Three Great Immortals. Thus, they could not rely on their own power to break their limits, step into the Unique True Realm, and achieve true eternity.
And so, these endlessly ancient beings found another way. They crippled themselves to evade the Chaos Great Tribulation, but in doing so, they completely lost their immortal lives.
Left with no choice, they sealed themselves within the Forbidden Lands and fell into a deep slumber, all while sacrificing countless living beings—even entire worlds—to obtain Immortal Substance.
With the help of this Immortal Substance, they could reclaim their former glory.
