After settling Ian Shaw in, Naomi Kenway went downstairs. Once in the main hall, she called over the busy butler.
Naomi Kenway was the lady of the manor. Even if the butler couldn't stand her usual antics, he still approached her respectfully. "Madam, you were looking for me?"
"The manor is too quiet. Hire some more servants—make sure they're kind and honest."
"Should I still be hiring only male servants?"
Naomi Kenway frowned slightly, just then recalling one of her more absurd rules. In the past, she'd been so afraid of someone stealing Ethan Shaw away that she had demanded there be no other women in the manor.
A headache forming, Naomi Kenway clutched her forehead. 'Just how bizarre was I back then?' "I wasn't thinking clearly before," she said. "Forget all that. I actually enjoy chatting with pretty young women, so hire plenty of them. And hire a few nannies for Ian, too. They must be experienced and responsible."
