Lin Li picked up his pace and plunged into a patch of dense grass. His body collided with the overgrown weeds, creating a RUSTLE RUSTLE RUSTLE sound.
"Haa..."
'Almost there.'
The long sprint had left him a bit tired. Slightly out of breath, Lin Li emerged from the grass and saw a cell phone tower in the distance. He knew he wasn't far from the safe zone now.
A few minutes later, the safe zone came into view. He also spotted a razor wire fence that had been set up along its perimeter.
'What's going on? How did such a long razor wire fence appear so suddenly?'
Lin Li looked at the razor wire fence lining the safe zone in the distance and gradually slowed his pace.
He had driven his van here this morning and hadn't seen this fence along the road.
Now, looking along the fence, it stretched far into the distance, as far as the eye could see.
