Mia froze. She thought she heard her brother's voice.
Thinking she was just hearing things, she continued to rush forward, but was suddenly enveloped in a familiar embrace.
"Mia, I'm late…"
Mia trembled slightly. She turned around in disbelief, and only when she saw Arthur's face did she burst into aggrieved sobs. "Brother… WAHHH…"
More than ten days of terror finally came pouring out as she cried her heart out.
Alvin Morgan's brow furrowed slightly. He walked over, took Aurora Sinclair by the hand, and led her toward the innermost bedroom.
"Did you get hurt?" Alvin Morgan took a glass of milk from a warmer and handed it to her.
Aurora Sinclair shook her head, murmured her thanks, and quietly drank her milk.
The warmth from his body seemed to linger beside her, making her feel a little self-conscious.
The atmosphere in the room gradually grew warmer, and it felt as if Alvin Morgan's gaze never left her.
"You look very nice in a dress."
