Chapter 61 - Chapter 61: The Weight Of Mercy

Giving someone another chance often meant forgiveness.

And forgiveness was never easy.

Siya rarely forgave more than once… perhaps twice at most. Yet despite the countless wrongs Trikala had committed — mistakes whose consequences had shaken worlds — she continued to spare him, granting him another opportunity every time.

The question lingered like an unseen shadow:

Was Siya knowingly protecting Trikala…

or was there a deeper reason behind her decisions?

Even she had not fully answered that question.

Ali had obeyed her command and left the room without argument, but unease followed him like a persistent echo. He did not doubt Siya's judgment — never had — yet concern for her refused to fade.

He knew her better than anyone.

Whenever Siya became silent, whenever she began carrying burdens alone, it meant she was preparing for something significant… something dangerous.

This time, however, she had not shared her thoughts with him.

She was distancing herself.

And that frightened him more than any enemy ever could.

Unable to quiet his mind, Ali entered meditation, hoping to find peace. He slowed his breathing, attempting to align his thoughts, but calmness refused to come. His instincts warned him that events were moving toward an irreversible turning point.

Finally, unable to bear the uncertainty, he rose and walked toward Siya's chamber.

Inside, Siya sat in deep meditation, surrounded by a faint aura of soft golden energy. The room felt still, almost sacred.

Even before he spoke, she sensed his presence.

Her eyes opened slowly.

One glance at Ali's face was enough. She understood both his worry and its cause.

Instead of addressing his concern directly, Siya gently shifted the conversation.

"Ali," she said softly, "you know I wasn't the one who gave you your name."

Ali nodded immediately.

"Yes, Boss. My family named me. You used to call me Avi."

A faint smile appeared on Siya's lips.

"Yes… I called you Avi. Do you know why?"

Ali shook his head slightly.

"I thought you just liked the name."

"No," she replied. "Avi means protector."

Her voice carried quiet warmth.

"You are not merely a companion I created, Ali. You are a guardian — someone meant to protect this world. I kept you close and taught you everything myself so that one day… whether I am present or not… you would be able to stand on your own."

Ali listened silently, confusion growing in his eyes.

"I shaped you to become greater than you ever realized," she continued. "You once believed the name 'Ali' was ordinary — just a name given by an ordinary family. You chose to keep it because you liked it. But unknowingly, you grew into the meaning of that name. Your identity has become stronger than the name itself."

Her words felt heavier than they sounded.

Siya's gaze drifted briefly, as if remembering someone lost.

"I had always believed," she added quietly, "that even if I were gone… George would stand beside you. But now he is no longer here. After this… it will be you who must guide everyone."

Ali's expression changed instantly.

"So my fear was right," he said. "I cannot imagine doing anything without you. A vehicle cannot move with only one wheel."

Siya smiled gently.

"The second wheel of your journey is not me," she said. "It is Andy. He will walk beside you at every step."

Ali shook his head, overwhelmed.

"I don't understand, Boss. Why are you saying all this? Nothing feels clear."

Siya stepped closer and placed her hand on his shoulder.

"Rest, Ali," she said softly. "Calm your mind. Give it peace."

Her voice carried an undeniable command — not forceful, but comforting.

Within moments, Ali lay down beside her, exhaustion finally overcoming his restless thoughts. His breathing slowly steadied as sleep claimed him.

Siya watched quietly until she was certain he had fallen asleep.

The room returned to silence.

She looked at him with deep affection — the affection of a creator, a mentor, and something almost maternal.

Then she whispered softly, careful not to wake him:

"Some truths are better left unclear for now, Ali… and as long as I am here, I will not let worry burden you."

Her gaze turned distant.

Behind her calm exterior, countless calculations unfolded — possibilities, sacrifices, and choices only she could make.

What truly occupied Siya's mind remained hidden even from those closest to her.

Outside, the night deepened.

And somewhere beyond the visible world, destiny continued moving toward a moment that would change everything.
