Chapter 122 - Chapter 117: Plastic Spoon War

Jay's POV

6PM.

We were all seated around the dining table.

Ciel was at the head of the table like a calm queen.

Adrian beside her.

Yuri across.

Chan next to Ciel.

Luke and Keifer?

Both on my left and right.

Of course.

Section E boys also occupied the table

Food was being passed around.

Rice. Meat. Vegetables.

Normal dinner.

Peaceful.

For exactly twelve seconds.

Keifer quietly placed a piece of meat on my plate.

I blinked. "Thanks."

Luke immediately leaned over.

"Oh, she likes the softer ones," he said casually.

And placed another piece on my plate.

Keifer's jaw tightened slightly.

"She can decide what she likes," he replied calmly.

Luke smiled. "Of course. I'm just being helpful."

Keifer placed another piece.

Luke placed two.

"Enough!" I snapped. "I can't eat all this."

They both paused.

Luke leaned closer to me slightly.

"You should eat well," he said softly. "You need strength."

"For what?" I asked flatly.

He smiled faintly. "For handling jealous men."

I rolled my eyes.

I wasn't even affected.

Just annoyed.

Across the table, Chan was watching like she bought VIP tickets.

Yuri whispered to Adrian, "Why are they competing with meat?"

Suddenly—

Crack.

We all turned.

Keifer's plastic spoon had snapped in half.

He was still holding the handle.

Very calmly.

But his eyes?

Locked on Luke.

Luke looked at the broken spoon.

Then at Keifer.

Then said lightly,

"Plastic can't handle pressure."

Silence.

Keifer stood up slowly.

Placed the broken spoon down.

Walked to the couch without a word.

Luke finished chewing.

Wiped his mouth neatly.

Then stood up.

And followed him.

My stomach tightened slightly.

What now?

Luke leaned down toward Keifer.

Whispered something into his ear.

We couldn't hear it.

Keifer closed his eyes.

Took a deep breath.

Opened them again.

And suddenly grabbed Luke by the collar.

Gasps everywhere.

"I was just joking," Luke said calmly.

"Well, you're leaving," Keifer replied coldly.

He began dragging Luke toward the door.

"Keifer!" I stood up.

We all followed.

They reached the entrance.

Keifer opened the door and dragged him outside.

We rushed after them.

"Keifer, what is going on?" I demanded.

"You should stop seeing him," Keifer said without looking at me.

"What?"

Chan stepped forward. "At least tell us what's going on."

"Ask him," Keifer snapped.

I turned to Luke.

"What did you say?"

Luke looked at me.

Then leaned closer.

And whispered in my ear.

I pulled back.

Then looked at Keifer.

"Stop behaving like a kid," I said. "He didn't say anything wrong."

Keifer stared at me.

"Really?"

"Yes."

"You believe him?"

"I'm not siding with anyone."

"You are," he said sharply. "You're siding with him."

Yuri stepped forward. "Keifer, calm down."

"You're all insane," Keifer snapped. "All of you."

Adrian raised his voice slightly. "Keifer. Go inside and calm down."

Silence.

Keifer looked at all of us.

Then turned.

And walked back inside without another word.

The tension stayed outside with us.

Chan sighed softly. "I guess I have to go home now. See you guys later."

She hugged me quickly.

Glared slightly at Luke.

Then left.

Ciel crossed her arms. "Luke, you too should go home."

Luke nodded.

"Already going."

No smile.

No teasing.

Just calm.

He walked past us.

Got into his car.

And drove off.

The driveway felt strangely empty.

We all slowly went back inside.

No one spoke.

The house suddenly felt too big.

Too quiet.

Everyone went to their rooms.

One by one.

I stood in the hallway for a moment longer.

Something wasn't right.

Not with Keifer.

Not with Luke.

Not with any of this.

And for the first time…

Luke didn't leave smiling.
