Zeus's lips curled into an evil smile. At this point it was clear to everyone that he would devise several methods to humiliate Adam to sate the twisted sense of equilibrium in his heart.
Hera judged him with a disdainful gaze.
What a petty old monster.
Needless to say, Athena was visibly fuming. But before she could explode Adam squeezed her hand and bowed his head respectfully.
"This one accepts."
Athena immediately turned towards him and tried to dissuade him. "Adam—"
"It's alright." He said reassuringly in a calm voice. Not a single bit of anger or humiliation could be felt in his tone.
Hera's gaze at the young man deepened with interest. She, like Aphrodite before, found herself overcome by the sudden desire to peer through his mask, unfortunately she wasn't able to break through the enchantment like Aphrodite had.
And so the unfulfilled desire sat was inflamed within her like an itch she could not scratch.
