Chapter 226: The Melee 4
On another battlefield, Sengoku and the Emperor Crocodile stood facing each other.
Sengoku had already entered his Great Buddha form, his enormous body radiating dazzling golden light.
Fifty meters away from him, the Emperor Crocodile—only a few meters tall—wore a ferocious expression. Tiger-like eyes brimmed with savagery as he stared at Sengoku, both pupils emitting bloodthirsty light while a vast, surging aura rolled off his body.
"I really want to know why your strength has improved so fast, but I know you won't say,"
Sengoku said as he looked at him, a trace of wariness flashing through his eyes.
"You talk too much. Are all Marines like this…?"

Without giving Sengoku a chance to speak, he stomped on the ground.
Boom!!
A huge crater appeared as a wave of dust swept outward. His body shot straight toward Sengoku.
"Shave!"
Sengoku's massive body suddenly appeared in front of him, a gigantic fist smashing forward.
The Emperor Crocodile did not dodge and met it head-on.
Boom!! A tremendous explosion swept outward, dust blanketing an area hundreds of meters wide.
Sengoku's Observation Haki was constantly covering his surroundings, but in the very next moment, the Emperor Crocodile vanished from his perception.
His expression instantly grew grave.
The Navy's understanding of the Dragon Flame Pirate Crew was extremely limited. Some information had been passed down from World Government agencies, so he was not particularly familiar with the Emperor Crocodile's abilities.
"Are you looking for me?"
The Emperor Crocodile's voice sounded from behind him.
A chill surged up Sengoku's spine, rushing straight to the top of his head, causing his pupils to contract sharply.
"Armament: Iron Body!"
Advanced Armament Haki instantly covered his back, and his muscles hardened like steel.

A sound like metal colliding rang out.
Sengoku felt a terrifying force surge from behind. He let out a muffled groan as his body was involuntarily sent flying forward.
The Emperor Crocodile cast a bloodthirsty glance at him, then abruptly stomped on the ground again!
Boom!! The earth shook violently as a shockwave swept outward and massive clouds of dust billowed up.
The Emperor Crocodile's figure entered the dust without making a single sound, like a killer lurking in the darkness.
Sengoku's huge body twisted midair as he looked down at the dust-shrouded ground below.
"This is… the Silence Fruit…"
His pupils shrank as he instantly guessed the truth.
Only the Silence Fruit could allow someone to approach him without making any sound at all.
Observation Haki heightens the five senses, allowing one to perceive surrounding life, emotional fluctuations, and to predict and evade danger.
But if one suppresses their own presence, becomes utterly cold, and makes no sound whatsoever, detecting them becomes extremely difficult.
And the Emperor Crocodile was, by nature, a master ambush predator.
Buzz!
Out of the corner of Sengoku's eye, a black shadow rushed toward him at high speed—truly without the slightest sound. Even the noise of dust shifting had completely vanished.
Sengoku threw out a punch.
One large fist and one small fist collided. There was no expected explosion—only a shockwave that kicked up massive amounts of dust.
Across the entire battlefield, not a single sound existed. It was so quiet it could not have been quieter, like watching a silent film.
At this moment, Sengoku could no longer hear anything at all. His hearing felt sealed off; he couldn't even hear his own heartbeat.
The sensation made his heart pound with unease. His body kept turning as his arms continuously swept out, dispersing the dust, while his eyes scanned incessantly.
Now, he could only rely on his vision to fight.
