Chapter 379 - The Book That Holds Their Household's Future

In the palace corridor, Kylen suddenly halted his steps. A brilliant thought had just flashed through his mind.

Instead of leading the group toward the palace guest room to wait for lunchtime, the bluish-white-haired prince turned his body and stared straight at one of the elite soldiers still standing guard in front of the throne room entrance.

"Soldier!" Kylen called out, his voice calm yet carrying the absolute authority of a royal family member.

The soldier immediately answered the call. "Yes, Your Highness? Is there anything I can help you with?"

"We will be heading to the royal library while waiting for lunchtime to arrive!" Kylen stated, giving a very clear message to the soldier. "If my father orders someone to look for us later, just tell that person that the six of us are there!"

"Understood, Your Highness!" the soldier answered promptly.

After ensuring the soldier would deliver his message, Kylen immediately led Arvin, Vian, Tania, Ziona, and Anna toward a different route.

Once again, they walked along the vast palace corridors. However, this time the route Kylen took did not lead to the outer areas of the palace or toward a resting place, but rather toward the library.

Upon arriving at an intersection in the palace corridor, the prince chose to keep walking straight, piercing through a palace area that appeared much quieter and more secluded.

Walking by Kylen's side, Arvin observed the route in silence. He completely did not expect that his spouse would take the initiative to move this quickly to visit the library first, right before the scheduled lunch with King Galeo.

He took a very smart step. Arvin thought to himself, unable to hide the pride in his heart upon seeing the initiative Kylen took.

Arvin began to think about the massive advantage of his spouse's spontaneous action. If, during the private discussion later, the king does not bless our relationship and it results in me being banned from entering the library, it will no longer be a problem. Because with this visit, I already know its exact location and coordinates. At the very least, I can enter it again secretly using my gate magic later.

...

A few moments later, their footsteps finally halted right in front of a massive wooden door.

"Darling, this is the royal library." Kylen said softly, looking at his husband as he revealed the room behind the large doors.

Arvin stared at the door in front of him intently. Behind this door lies the key to the future of my household. I truly hope I can quickly find and master that high-tier cloning magic purely for the sake of fairness and happiness for all my spouses.

However, amidst Arvin's seriousness in staring at the door, a complaint broke the silence.

"Wait a minute! Why did you bring us here instead, Kylen?"

The baffled voice coming from Ziona spontaneously shattered Arvin's thoughts about the future of his household in an instant. Kylen also immediately turned his head, looking at the girl's face.

"Then, where else do you think we should wait until my father summons us other than in this library, Ziona?" Kylen asked back with an irrefutable rhetorical tone. "Should we sit idly in that boring gazebo in the palace's side courtyard until someone calls us? No, right?"

Hearing that indisputable argument, Ziona immediately fell silent, completely unable to deny the prince's words. Waiting in the gazebo in the palace's side courtyard without doing anything would indeed feel incredibly boring.

But if we wait inside the library, we won't feel bored. Ziona thought in agreement. There are so many magic and history books we can read to make the time pass quickly.

"Hahh... fine, I agree with you this time!" the girl decided. "Time won't feel tedious if we all occupy ourselves by reading books inside this library."

"I don't mind either. It's much better if we wait here rather than sitting stiffly in that gazebo doing nothing." Vian chimed in, validating his childhood friend's decision.

"Me too!" Tania and Anna said almost simultaneously, giving enthusiastic nods of agreement to the idea.

Having reached an agreement, Kylen nodded firmly. Without overthinking it, he opened the double doors, pushed them ajar, and then the six of them immediately stepped inside.

The moment they crossed the threshold, they were greeted by an extraordinarily magnificent sight. As far as the eye could see, there were only rows of towering bookshelves filled with an abundance of neatly arranged books.

Seeing that ocean of knowledge, Arvin grew even more excited. His heart was filled with a strong sense of urgency. He wanted to quickly find and master the cloning magic as soon as possible for the happiness of his spouses waiting for him in the capital of the Astoria Kingdom.

Realizing the vastness of the place, Vian, Tania, Ziona, and Anna immediately separated themselves. They began to scatter toward the sections of shelves housing the books they wanted to read.

Meanwhile, Kylen gave a signal to Arvin. He led his husband walking through the rows of bookshelves, heading straight toward the deepest corner of the library specifically reserved for rare magic books.

The two of them kept walking past many bookshelves, before their steps finally halted in front of an old bookshelf located at the far left end of the library.

Kylen raised his hand, pointing toward the row of books on the topmost shelf.

"Darling, can you see that dark blue covered book?" he whispered softly.

Arvin tilted his head up and looked straight in the direction his spouse pointed. His eyes scanned the neatly arranged rows of books there.

And sure enough, among the stacks of literature, he saw a book with a dark blue leather cover.

"Is that the book related to the cloning magic?" Arvin whispered to confirm, without diverting his gaze.

"Yes, that's the book!" Kylen answered without the slightest doubt, his tone filled with absolute certainty. "Hurry, take it and read the book now before lunchtime arrives."

Getting that confirmation, Arvin did not need to think twice. He immediately focused his mana, activating his telekinesis magic and directing it straight at the dark blue covered book.

Slowly but surely, the book began to shift and slid out of its row until it hovered in the air.

With highly concentrated magic control and an incredibly high level of precision, he lowered the hovering book until he could finally grasp it easily with his right hand.

When the book he had been searching for was finally in his grasp, Arvin's heart raced. A massive explosion of happiness and relief flooded his chest. He was incredibly impatient to read it immediately to fulfill the hopes of all his spouses.

Beside him, Kylen stood in silence. Through the soul bond binding the two of them, the prince could clearly feel his husband's emotions, which were currently overflowing with happiness and relief.

Kylen also smiled in relief as he looked at Arvin's side profile. His heart felt so warm because he was finally able to fulfill his husband's wish, as well as the wishes of his other family members who were currently in the capital of the Astoria Kingdom.
