Chapter 304 - Uncontrolled Surge Goes to Panic

Feelings of frustration, burning anger, insecurity, and soul-crushing trauma instantly surged and exploded within Calverd's chest.

In the bathtub, which was supposed to be soothing, his mind was instead dragged back into the darkest of hells.

He fiercely hated the Victoriaz Kingdom. He hated the guards who laughed at his suffering. He hated the stone walls of the prison that stood as silent witnesses to his weakness. And most of all, he hated the fact that his body had been made dirty and vile by that barbaric rape.

Those intensely thick and uncontrollable negative emotions triggered a surge of mana within his body without him even realizing it.

Rumble...

The inside of the bathroom suddenly vibrated softly, as if a small-scale earthquake was centered right in the room.

The anomaly did not only occur there. In the kitchen and dining area located not too far away, the same strange vibration was felt by everyone.

The warmth of their conversation instantly halted as they realized something was wrong with the gravity around them.

Every item in the room began to shake. And a second later, plates, glasses, spoons, forks, a still-steaming soup pot, pans, and even the solid wood dining chairs and table began to lift one by one, floating in the air like weightless feathers.

"Hey, what's going on?!" Arion exclaimed with a shocked face, his eyes widening as a serving plate drifted slowly past his face. "Why are all the objects in this room floating on their own?"

"Is this an enemy attack?!" Dylan shouted with a sharp glare, entering full combat readiness. "I will destroy them if they dare infiltrate this place!"

"Calm down..." Davin said in a very relaxed tone. "It seems one of the two taking a bath accidentally awakened his power due to unstable emotions."

Meanwhile, what was happening inside the bathroom was no less insane.

Around Calverd, who was rigidly bowing his head, the laws of physics seemed to no longer apply.

Wooden buckets, basins, brushes, and even the warm water Kaydan and Calverd were about to use for soaking began to lift from the bathtub. Blobs of water floated in the air, causing the bathtub to slowly dry up until there was no water left inside.

The confused shouts from the kitchen echoed, piercing through the bathroom door.

Kaydan, who was wiping his face, instantly opened his eyes. He was stunned to see his surroundings had turned into a zero-gravity room.

Realizing that the massive and uncontrollable mana fluctuation originated from the fiercely trembling body of his comrade beside him, the gray-haired youth did not stay still.

"Stop your power, Calverd!" Kaydan shouted with a fairly loud voice, trying to snap the indigo-haired youth out of his daze.

Not wanting the situation to get any more chaotic, his hand immediately struck Calverd's shoulder with a hit strong enough to bring him to his senses. "Don't cause a mess here! Snap out of it!"

The physical touch and the loud shout were like lightning striking the indigo-haired youth's consciousness. Instantly, Calverd flinched, his eyes blinking with ragged breaths, and his telekinesis magic immediately ceased.

Splash!

The hovering blobs of warm water dropped simultaneously, crashing against the surface of the tub once the lifting force of the telekinesis magic vanished and they were forcefully pulled down by natural gravity.

Clack! Clack!

The wooden buckets and basins that were previously floating near the ceiling also fell, scattering across the wet bathroom floor.

At the exact same time, from outside the bathroom, the sounds of far more massive destruction echoed.

Clang! Crash! Thud!

The sound of shattering glass, clashing metal, and slamming wooden objects could be heard very clearly. Spontaneously, Kaydan turned toward the door with a tense face.

Meanwhile, Calverd sat frozen. His face, initially pale from trauma, now turned ashen from the shock of the chaos that had just unfolded. He only just realized that his actions had thrown the entire mansion into disarray.

An overwhelming sense of guilt instantly flooded his mind.

Driven by a panic that clouded his common sense, the indigo-haired youth immediately stood up. Without a second thought, he hurriedly stepped out of the bathroom.

Slam!

The bathroom door was pulled and swung open with immense force.

He ran out toward everyone in the dinning area. However, his footsteps abruptly stopped. Calverd was shocked beyond belief upon seeing the devastation before him.

Beautiful plates, expensive glass cups, and several decorative flower vases had been smashed to pieces. Pots, pans, spoons, forks, and even kitchen knives lay scattered messily across the floor. Some of the painstakingly prepared dishes were now spilled in a chaotic mess.

The state of the kitchen and dining room was completely chaotic, as if a tornado had just swept through.

"I am so sorry!" Calverd yelled as loudly as he could while bowing his body into a rigid right angle. His voice trembled with guilt. "I truly didn't mean to use my power! I... I was suddenly reminded of the barbaric treatment I endured while in that prison, and I lost control. Please punish me!"

Hearing the confession filled with such deep regret, everyone in the room instantly knew exactly who was behind the chaos.

However, instead of getting angry or intending to punish him, the ten youths actually let out a long sigh of relief. They were thankful that the recent chaos was purely the result of a traumatic emotional outburst, and not because an intruder or enemy had attacked their residence.

"It's okay, raise your head." Allen said softly, stepping closer to try and calm the trembling indigo-haired youth. "All the broken and shattered items in this room are merely lifeless objects. They can all be fixed with alchemy magic or our husband can just buy new ones right away. Just continue your bath without worrying about what happened."

"Yes, he is right!" Ordion chimed in from the direction of the now-tilted dining table. He crossed his arms and tilted his head slightly, a teasing smile etched on his lips. "Furthermore... you ran out of the bathroom completely naked, you know!"

Ordion's words were like time-stopping magic.

At that very instant, Calverd, who was still bowing in apology, flinched violently. His common sense, which had flown away due to panic, now rushed back into his head.

With stiff movements, he lowered his gaze. He saw clearly that not a single thread, not even underwear, covered the lower half of his body. Everything was exposed in plain view, without any barrier, right in front of the ten unfamiliar youths in the dining room.

The indigo-haired youth's face instantly exploded into a beet-red hue like a boiled crab. He reflexively crossed his hands downwards, tightly covering his shaft.

Without saying another word to them, Calverd spun his body around and sprinted as fast as he could back into the bathroom.

The ten youths in the dinning room exchanged glances for a moment before they all finally chuckled softly. Calverd's antic of scurrying back into the bathroom in a panicked, naked state ended up being the perfect comic relief that successfully melted away the tense atmosphere.
