There, in the living room, stood Arvin, their beloved husband. However, what shocked them was not their husband's arrival in the middle of the night, but a foreign and non-human creature who was currently standing obediently right next to him.
The figure had a porcelain face that was incredibly cute, exceeding Alrain's, with sparkling silver hair, a pair of clear golden eyes, a pair of pointed ears, and two pairs of transparent wings like dragonfly wings that occasionally vibrated on his back.
"M-My Husband..." Allen called out, breaking the silence, his voice sounding shocked as well as amazed. He stepped slowly closer to the living room. "W-Who is that cute boy standing next to you?"
Seeing his three spouses who had woken up and were staring at them with confused expressions, Arvin smiled reassuringly. He gently wrapped his arm around Alvein's shoulder, pulling him slightly forward.
"Allen, Alrain, Ordion... let me introduce you, he is Alvein!" Arvin said with a loud and proud voice, introducing the extraordinary figure he brought back home. "He is my prospective fourth spouse."
Hearing the direct announcement from their husband's mouth, Allen, Alrain, and Ordion looked at each other. The three of them truly never expected, not even in their wildest dreams, that the one who would become the fourth spouse, who would share a husband with them, turned out to not be from the human race.
"Wait a minute, My Dear! He is clearly not human, right?" chimed in Ordion, who still couldn't take his eyes off the transparent wings on Alvein's back.
"Yes, you are right, Ordion!" Arvin answered quickly. "Even though he has an appearance and physical characteristics exactly like the fairy race in mythology, he is actually a creature created by a high-level magic entity since thousands of years ago named 'Morpher'."
Hearing that astonishing historical fact, the three youths in front of him widened his eyes even more.
"But!" Arvin continued, quickly cutting off their shock. Now his tone of voice turned very firm and laden with absolute warning. "From this second on, I forbid you to discuss, bring up, or talk about his past as a 'Morpher'. In this house, he is Alvein Vedegra of the fairy race! I do not want you to consider him a mere tool or magic entity. He is part of our family now!"
Hearing the absolute firmness of his husband who was highly protecting the new figure, Alrain, who had the strongest protective instinct among them, slowly stepped forward approaching Alvein.
The atmosphere in the living room instantly became a little tense.
Alrain looked the winged figure in front of him up and down.
"Listen to me carefully!" Alrain said in a low tone of voice. His pair of eyes stared sharply and piercingly right into Alvein's golden eyes. "I do not care what kind of creature you are, what race you come from, or how old you are! As long as you can truly be loyal to our husband and support him until the end of time, no matter what kind of danger or enemy we will face in the future... I will very gladly accept you in this house."
Alrain brought his face a span closer, radiating a serious aura of intimidation.
"But, if you dare to betray him or hurt him even just the tip of a fingernail..." Alrain continued, staring at him very sharply and coldly. "I swear on my own name, wherever you go, I will chase and kill you with my own hands."
Receiving a direct death threat on his first day, instead of feeling offended, scared, or angry with the sharp words coming out of the green-haired boy's mouth in front of him, Alvein actually felt very relieved. A faint smile was carved on his lips.
He saw with his own eyes that the loyalty and love shown by one of his prospective husband's spouses in front of him right now was so great and sincere.
Alvein straightened his posture, returning that sharp gaze without flinching in the slightest.
"Even without you telling and threatening me, I absolutely cannot and will never betray him!" Alvein answered in a very casual but equally firm tone. "Right now, I am his absolute subordinate and my entire essence is programmed to always bow to his commands. In my eyes, Arvin Vedegra is an absolute existence!"
Alvein glared back sharply into Alrain's eyes.
"I am exactly the one who should say that threat to you and the others!" Alvein threatened, counterattacking with full confidence. "I will never forgive the three of you if you dare to betray him!"
Silence enveloped the living room for a few seconds after that tense verbal spar.
However, instead of getting angry for being rebutted, Alrain instantly smiled very broadly and relievedly after hearing the firm and brave answer from the prospective fourth spouse's mouth in front of him. His doubts vanished immediately. This creature indeed deserves to be by our husband's side!
The green-haired youth relaxed his shoulders then extended his right hand forward.
"A very good mindset! Welcome to our home, Alvein. I am Alrain, Arvin's second spouse." he said with a tone that now sounded very friendly and full of acceptance. "I look forward to working together from now on, fourth spouse."
Alvein looked for a moment at the smiling face and the hand extended to him. Without hesitation, he raised his hand, then welcomed and shook Alrain's hand tightly.
"Yes, I also look forward to working together to protect our husband, Alrain." Alvein replied sincerely.
Seeing the tension that had melted and turned into a warm acceptance, Allen and Ordion, who had been watching in silence all this time, finally smiled in relief too. The two of them immediately stepped forward approaching the newcomer.
"I am Allen, Arvin's first spouse." greeted the pink-haired youth with a sincere and friendly smile. "Nice to meet you, Alvein. You truly have very beautiful wings."
"And I am Ordion, Arvin's third spouse!" greeted the red-haired youth with a very enthusiastic and excited tone. "Nice to meet you, Alvein! I hope we all can work together well and support our husband forever!"
Receiving a warm welcome from his new family, Alvein's eyes sparkled happily. He looked at all of Arvin's spouses in front of him interchangeably.
"Yes, Allen! Yes, Ordion!" Alvein replied with a very relieved feeling. "Nice to meet you two as well. I promise to give my best for our husband and also this family."
