Black Crest Jubilife Breeding House
"Since Feebas is eating now, there's no need to rush. Just give it time."
Before leaving, Blue was still worried about Feebas.
"Don't worry."
Even with Austin, Blue, Daniella, and the others taking turns encouraging it, Feebas still had not taken that first step.
Blue believed that if Feebas stayed here, it would eventually overcome its fear.
Austin had that kind of patience.
"If it improves, I'll contact you on the Pokégear."
Blue gave his Pokégear a light shake. They had already exchanged contact details.
"I'm heading off. No need to see me out."
He had arrived quickly and left the same way, soaring into the sky on his Charizard.
"Take care. Safe trip!"
Leon and Amanda also came out to see him off.
They had all witnessed Blue's guidance over the past seven days. Every session had been direct and practical, without holding anything back.
Mizuki cupped her hands and shouted toward the sky, "Thank you, Mr. Blue!"
She turned sharply. "Why aren't you thanking him?"
Dai Yui raised an eyebrow. "He stayed at my place for seven days. I thanked him last night."
"I'm jealous…"
Dai Yui looked puzzled. He did not see what there was to envy.
Amanda reminded Austin, "You should also thank your grandpa. Don't forget to call him later."
Austin nodded. "I know. I update Grandpa every day."
Leon laughed. "That's my son. Always thoughtful."
Austin ignored his father's pride and focused on the system interface in front of him.

A blue virtual radar panel appeared before Austin.
At the one o'clock direction, two green dots were flashing, almost overlapping.
Austin guessed it was likely a mother and child pair.
One o'clock direction.
He looked toward the back mountain, the same place Ryu had been visiting frequently.
There was no need to rush. The system would continue tracking them automatically.
Austin had spent seven straight days occupied with training and guidance. It was time to prepare his next video for PokéStream.
The main quest still needed to be completed.
[Advancing Breeding House]
Quest Objective: (91/100)
Money came first.
Pokémon with great potential require significant resources to raise properly.
Their family still owed Uncle Hanson money.
He had not pressured them, but that did not mean the debt could be ignored.
"Dad, help me put out an advertisement. Tomorrow I'll offer free grooming for five Pokémon."
Leon blinked. "Reason?"
Austin met his father's eyes calmly. "Because I feel like it."
Leon laughed. "Fair enough. If you're happy, I'll think of a proper explanation."
Amanda considered it. "Why not make it an employee benefit? Grooming for staff Pokémon could count as a reward."
Austin nodded. "Then five slots for employees and five for customers."
Amanda smiled. "As long as you're not overworking yourself."
"Not tired at all."
If he ever did feel tired, he could always pour himself a glass of Smoked Oran Berry Juice.
One glass to clear the mind. Two glasses and he would be back at full energy.
. . .
Austin made a video call on his Pokégear.
"Grandpa, Blue has already gone back."
"I know. He contacted me. Said you did well. Didn't embarrass me."
Austin smiled. Hearing that from his grandfather carried more weight than praise from anyone else.
"Are you thinking about coming to Jubilife City? The Breeding House is stable now. Uncle and the others drop by most evenings. It's lively."
"I'll think about it. The vegetables in my greenhouse still need tending."
The old man's voice softened when he mentioned his crops. Those vegetables were not just plants. They were for routine and peace.
Austin paused for a moment. "Alright. Think it through carefully."
Before ending the call, his grandfather added, "For Feebas, try letting it interact with a Milotic or another Feebas. Sometimes they need their own kind to open up."
"I understand."
Blue had suggested the same.
With the number of clients coming through the Breeding House, it was only a matter of time before another Feebas appeared.
Austin also had a friend who owned a Milotic. He considered whether he should ask her to bring it over for a visit.
Meanwhile, high above the clouds, Blue sat on Charizard's back and connected a call to Red.
"You were right. He's interesting."
Red grinned on the other end. "Told you. He's a fun Trainer."
They meant different things by that word.
Red saw Austin as a streamer on PokéStream and an online friend. Blue evaluated him as a Breeder.
"Did you battle him?" Red asked quickly. "I saw his Ryu is strong. And his Metang evolved recently, right?"
"We battled once. It was solid."
They had used Arcanines in that match.
Red leaned closer to the screen. "So? Who won?"
"For now, I did. But he improves fast. Next time could go either way."
Blue's tone was calm.
"His tactical awareness is good. His command decisions are steady. But his strongest trait is his learning speed. He adapts mid-battle without realizing how sharp he is."
From Blue's perspective, even with only three Pokémon, Austin's structure and positioning were already refined.
What impressed him most was not power, but growth.
Red's eyes lit up. "Now I really want to battle him again."
Blue laughed. "When I get back, I'll battle you first. And you can try the Smoked Oran Berry Juice I picked up."
Seven days had been enough for Blue to understand Austin's temperament.
He was not obsessed with battling the way Red was. Nor did he chase constant competition like Blue.
Austin leaned toward breeding. He placed a Pokémon's comfort and growth before victory.
"Wait, you learned that too?" Red exclaimed. "Forget the juice. Just get back here. I'm ready."
Back at the Breeding House, Austin rolled up his sleeves in the kitchen.
Since his cooking level had improved, he decided to attempt the special dish he had unlocked earlier.
Crab Roe Lion's Head (B rank)
After consumption, strength slightly increases. Effect triggers only once.
Note. With the current cooking level, there is a small chance of failure.
Austin stared at the ingredients laid out neatly on the counter.
He gave a quiet snort.
"If you've got hands, you can make it eventually."
