Everyone in the classroom had varying looks.
Most had looks of reverence for such incredible upperclassmen.
Some had looks of confusion—likely unaware of the importance of these people.
And some just stared at the female of the group. The identity of such individuals shouldn't be hard to guess.
Sam, meanwhile, thought that these three were strong.
He didn't know them as he never cared for heroics, but he could instinctively tell they were tough.
"These guys… I heard of them!" Jiro said.
"The big three!" Mina cheered.
"But you wouldn't think so by the looks of them. And one of them is really pretty…" Kaminari observed with a lecherous grin.
Sam rolled his eyes at the pervert's behavior.
'Although, she is quite the looker… if Rumi had a mind reading quirk, my ass would be history.'
Sam thought—feeling a chill from the thought of Rumi hearing his thoughts.
"Let's get right to it. Let's start with you, Amajiki."
Aizawa interrupted.
Suddenly, the man who was giving off the most imposing vibes stepped forward.
'So this is Amajiki? He's interesting. I can feel just how tense he is. He might be ready for action at any moment.'
Sam observed—finding the tense atmosphere of Amajiki to be interesting.
"It's no good, Mirio, Hado… I was going for potatoes, but… they all still look like people from the neck down. What do I do? Having trouble… speaking…"
Sam deadpanned at this scene along with his classmates.
All interest Sam had in the young man died as he watched the boy have an anxiety attack right before his eyes.
'So the tense atmosphere was from his jittery little deer personality. Wow.'
Sam felt disappointed with this, but then remembered these are all still kids and he shouldn't expect them to be hardened veterans like him.
"My mind's blank… it hurts!"
Amajiki grabbed his head and shivered in fear. He then turned around.
"I wanna go now!"
He yelled in pure despair.
"Wow. Was he forced into the hero course or something?"
Sam asked Aizawa who looked more tired.
"Isn't it funny that people call that having the heart of a flea? So weird!"
The girl with the periwinkle hair piped in.
She had a large smile on her face and looked at everyone with excitement.
"He's Tamaki Amajiki, the flea, and I'm Nejire Hado. We came to talk to you all about work studies!"
She giddily explained, before turning her attention to Shoji.
"But hey hey what's with that mask? You got a cold or something? Or is it just fashion?"
She asked with the curiosity of a child seeing a magic trick.
Shoji tried to answer, but she turned her attention to another.
"Ohh! Is that Todoroki back there?!? Hey!! How did you get that burn?!?"
She inquired, to which Todoroki felt uncomfortable answering.
Before he could say something she turned to Mina.
"Hey Ashido! If you broke those horns would they grow back? Can they move? Tell me! And Mineta! Those balls… are those hair?!? How d'you get a haircut?!? Are you a tree frog Asui? Or more of a toad? Sam Suzuki!!"
She kept pestering the students before she turned towards the unamused Sam.
'Oh shit.'
He thought before she reached his desk and slammed her hands on it, looking into his eyes with wonder.
"You are the Quirkless Monster?!? The one who beat Endeavor and Hawks?!? How did you do it?!? Do you really have no quirk?!?"
Sam was tired of this shit.
"None of your-"
"So many curious things about all of you! Downright curious!"
She said as she returned to the front.
Everyone was just staring at her like she was a lunatic, which was most likely the case.
"She's all over the place… it's cute!"
Kaminari gushed.
"Kinda like a kindergartener."
Mina added.
"Did I hear you ask about my balls?!? That's sexual harassment, senpai!"
Mineta yelled—making Sam want to punt the little bastard out the window.
"Hey, hey! Can you tell me your whole body weight with your tail, Ojiro? Tell me! Tell me!"
She began to pester Ojiro next.
"She's not the most rational person, is she?"
Aizawa asked—looking like he was done with life.
"She's hot, but a psycho."
Sam responded to Aizawa—being brutally honest as always.
"Not to worry! I'm the main act here!"
Suddenly, Lucas shouted out, bringing all attention on him.
'Great. He's a loud one.' Sam thought—wishing he could switch places with Bakugo at that moment.
"The outlook's looking…"
He paused—waiting for something.
'Is he waiting for us to say something? Like fucking Dora the explorer?'
Sam thought—feeling his body ache from the cringe the Tin Tin look alike was making him feel.
"GRIM!! The answer's Grim! That didn't go over so well!"
He said—still smiling like a mad man.
"All three of them are kinda weird. Didn't expect this from the big three, did you?"
Sato asked Koda—who was sweating while listening to Vault Boy laughing.
"It's kinda hard to see what they're made of."
Tokoyami said with a straight face.
"It's obvious. They're made of stern stuff. Despite all three of them being the most spastic bastards ever."
Sam pitched in—being frank as always.
"I'm seeing a lot of faces that say 'who cares?' You got us three third years showing up outta nowhere… here to talk about work studies that you don't even have to do. Doesn't make sense, right?"
The Lucas-lookalike suddenly had a more serious tone to his words.
"You all got your licenses as first-years… hmph. I guess this batch of first-years… are real go-getters…"
He said—still smiling, but the air around him noticeably kept growing more intense.
"And since our talk here isn't going well…"
Even his two friends were looking confused with what he was doing.
"Mirio?!?"
Tamaki squeaked out—still with his head on the chalkboard.
"How about… you all take me on!!!! YEAH!!!!!"
He challenged—his friendly smile now back on his face.
Sam just stared at him with a serious look while his classmates were stammering—trying to understand what he is saying.
"Seems like they should feel the full weight of our experiences firsthand!!! Don'tcha think so, Eraserhead?"
The boy said with a wink as he pointed at Aizawa.
Aizawa just remained silent before he agreed.
"Do as you like."
With that, they were all forced to get in their gym clothes and head to gym gamma.
———
"Umm… is this for real?"
Sero asked—genuinely concerned.
"Yup, sure is!"
He replied while performing some stretches.
On the side, Tamaki—also dressed in his gym clothes—was facing the wall again. Next to him, was Sam, who was also wearing his gym outfit.
"Mirio… don't do this. It'd be enough to just follow the manual and go, "we experienced this and that, and it was all super meaningful."
"So distant."
Mineta said—watching the shy kid speak.
"It's not like all of them are raring to go and ready to aim for the top. We wouldn't want any to be broken beyond fixing."
Tamaki ominously warned.
Sam raised an eyebrow at that.
"Let him cook, buddy. If he wants to show them what Hell is, then I say let him. All Might's history now. Things are going to hit the fan."
Sam enlightens Tamaki, who was still facing the wall. But after hearing Sam's words, he glanced to his side and saw the white-haired kid just watching with intrigue.
Nejire then goes into detail and explains how they have experience that newer students don't have.
"Just wait a minute… we've fought against pros before, albeit with handicaps."
Tokoyami contested.
"And we've got experience fighting real villains!"
Kirishima added—feeling like they were being underestimated.
'These poor fools. They think that by winning a few fights, they have experience? They are in for a harsh lesson.'
Sam thought—feeling pity for his classmates. Not about the thrashing they were destined to get by Mirio, but of their foolish thoughts.
"Do you think we're such wimps… that you gotta worry for our safety or whatever?"
Kirishima added—looking mildly peeved.
"Whenever you're ready, then come at me. Who's gonna be first?"
Mirio calmly challenged—not showing any concern.
Kirishima pointed at himself and was about to volunteer himself, but just as he was volunteering, Midoriya beat him to it.
"I'll… go first."
Midoriya declared—his face firm and serious.
"Well hot damn. This should be something else. You gonna watch Tamaki?"
Sam asked—looking forward to seeing Mirio in action.
"Ohh! Can I watch with you guys?!? Thanks!"
Nejire skipped over and invited herself to his side.
"So! Why are you sitting out?"
She curiously asked Sam.
Sam kept his eyes on the coming conflict.
"Because this test is important for them. I can tell Mirio is experienced. I don't even know his quirk and yet I can tell from his callused hands and his posture and his build that he worked hard to get to where he is."
Sam analyzed—feeling great respect for Mirio the more he looked him over.
Nejire looked at Sam in surprise—even Tamaki glanced at Sam in shock.
"Whoah! You're so cool! By the way, where'd you get that scar on your face?"
She admired his analytical skills. Yet, Nejire wouldn't be Nejire without asking inappropriate questions.
Sam sighed—still keeping focus on Mirio.
BAAM!!!
Their attention was taken by Midoriya, who slammed his powered up foot to the ground.
He then launched at Mirio and his peers readied themselves to attack him as well.
"Take it easy on us!!"
Midoriya yelled as he charged Mirio.
'That's the lamest thing he could have said at that moment.'
Sam thought—disappointed by how lame Midoriya can be.
Sam's eyes nearly bulged out of their sockets when he saw what happened next.
Just as Midoriya was closing in on Mirio, his clothes started to fall off—showing off his naked body.
Sam sweat dropped—feeling like his eyes just gazed upon the form of Cthulu.
"Remind me to ask Momo to make some bleach so I can clean my eyes."
Sam said to Tamaki and Nejire who were used to Mirio stripping naked.
However, right when he pulled his clothes back on before they could fall, Midoriya finally arrived and aimed a roundhouse kick at Mirio's head.
The moment Midoriya's red shoe hit Mirio's face, it phased right through Mirio's head.
"Phasing? But wait, something's off. His body should have flinched, even a small blink, at that kick. But Mirio didn't even register it. Is he fucking blind when he is phasing?"
Sam deduced and questioned the two rookie heroes next to him.
Tamaki and Nejire both looked at Sam, stunned.
"The fact you deduced that so quick is…"
"Terrifying!"
Nejire said with an astonished face and Tamaki followed up in a scared tone as they both stared at Sam like he wasn't human.
After Midoriya went through Mirio, the others launched their attacks, and just as expected, Mirio phased through them all.
BOOM!
All the attacks hit the spot he was previously at.
Sam watched as the dust settled and revealed… nothing.
He gawked at the sight—unbelieving what he was seeing.
"What the fuck? Where the fuck did that guy go?"
Sam was—for the first time in a long time—stunned.
He already could tell the power and speed of Mirio based on his movements he displayed earlier. He should not have been fast enough to completely disappear from sight.
Tamaki and Nejire looked at Sam—understanding of his shock. The first time they saw him do this, it was incredible for them too.
Sam looked around for a moment, before he saw something suddenly appear behind Jiro.
"WHAT THE FUCK!!"
Sam yelled in disbelief.
Tamaki flinched and Nejire just chuckled.
Behind Jiro was a naked Mirio. But what riled him up was not the bare Mirio, but the sudden appearance out of nowhere.
"Long-range attackers go down first!!"
He yelled as he raised his fists to attack Jiro first.
"This makes no sense. He could phase through things. But he can also warp? That's bullshit. I'm missing something."
Sam narrowed his eyes as he continued to watch the fight.
Before Sam's eyes, he saw each and every one of his peers get taken down by Mirio.
"His technique is incredible. Efficient and quick. Damn."
Sam looked at Mirio who kept mowing down his classmates with admiration.
"But still, how the fuck did he warp?"
He asked himself out loud.
"Mirio is probably better than the average pro."
Aizawa pitched in.
Sam looked at him like he was dumb.
"Obviously. Most of these heroes out there are brats who would probably run away if they saw massacres first-hand. This Mirio guy, however… he might have made it."
Sam complimented, earning a raised eyebrow from Aizawa and looks of intrigue from Nejire and even the shy Tamaki.
"POWERRRRR!"
Mirio screamed as he finished off half of the students.
"Never mind. He's an idiot."
Sam said as he felt like gouging his eyes out after seeing this guy yelling like Terry Crews in an Old Spice ad, while butt-ass naked.
Aizawa, Nejire and Tamaki could only sweat drop at that.
Mirio suddenly had his pants on, leaving the incapacitated long range fighters behind him.
"Looks like only the melee fighters are left."
Mirio coolly stated.
Sam watched as his classmates gawked at Mirio in fear and admiration.
They were trying to come up with a counter attack but they just thought he was invincible.
Sam shook his head in disappointment.
"Idiots. Did they seriously not see it?"
"Oh cut them some slack Sam!"
Nejire slapped him on the shoulder as they watched Mirio inspire fear in 1-A.
Mirio suddenly charged again, but he phased through the ground, leaving his britches behind.
"He phased through. Did he appear by phasing through the underground and popping out behind her? No. He's blind as a bat. Plus, he can't breathe when he phases. Right?"
Sam asked—to which, once again, he was met with looks of shock from Aizawa, Nejire and Tamaki.
Nejire suddenly started clapping.
"Yup! I knew you'd catch on first! You're so cool! How did you figure it out so quickly? Do you have some analyzing quirk? Do you hide it-"
"God damn it woman!"
Sam interrupted—feeling his ears beg for death from her constant chattering.
'She's worse than Izuku.'
Sam thought—remembering Izuku's creepy muttering.
Nejire pouted at Sam's interruption and turned her attention back to the fight.
Sam also went back to watching. He looked again and again for where Mirio would pop out from.
Once again, to Sam's complete dismay, he blinked into existence behind Midoriya.
"Seriously?!? This doesn't make sense!"
Sam was frustrated. He prided himself on his analytic skills. But he was utterly stumped with Togata Mirio.
Midoriya reacted quick on instinct, but Mirio phased his hand through Midoriya's leg and went to poke his eyes, but he ended up feinting with a quick hit to the solar plexus.
"Smart. He knows how to feint a hit. Plus he hit the solar plexus perfectly. Enough force not to cause long term damage, but enough to incapacitate… still, how the fuck did he warp?!?"
Sam analyzed—while still bitching about Mirio warping.
He saw him warp again behind Iida—his creepy smile on his face and his hands ready to go down on him.
"Get a look at Togata. He's really gotten stronger, huh?"
Nejire asked Tamaki.
"Mirio's been strong ever since he was a kid… basically… he needs to learn how to hold back."
Tamaki responded—still facing the wall.
Sam raised an eyebrow at this conversation before turning back to the fight.
WHAP!
WHAP!
WHAP!
One by one he completely obliterated the rest of the students.
"Power!"
He yelled again—with a big smirk and a thumbs up.
Sam stared at Mirio with a strange silence. A difficult quirk. And yet he had turned it into something terrifying.
For a moment, Sam felt something close to respect. Not for a hero. For a survivor.
"Alright. I've seen enough. I'm gonna figure this shit out."
Sam said—his face showing a serious expression.
Tamaki finally turned around and Nejire and Aizawa also looked intrigued at this.
Sam walked over to Mirio, who smiled and put back on his clothes.
"Might as well leave them off. We ain't done yet."
Sam said as he approached Mirio.
"Well, well! Samuel Suzuki! The Quirkless Monster! I've heard a lot about you. I was especially amazed with how you beat Hawks and Endeavor!"
Mirio praised as he faced Sam.
"Yeah, yeah, fuck those guys. I'm more focused on you. I've already gotten the gist of your quirk. You phase through matter, but this also leads to your organs failing to function from the phasing effect. Thus why you are blind and likely unable to breathe when you phase. It's a really shitty quirk. Yet you adapted. I have to admire that."
Sam said as he praised Mirio's strength. He understood good and well what it felt like to be seen as a weak little bug, and what to do to survive with such weak power—or in Sam's case, no power.
Mirio's smile widened.
"Incredible! You deduced that just from watching? I'd expect nothing less from you, Suzuki."
Mirio commended.
"But one thing is eating me alive. How in gods name did you warp. I would see it if you phased through the ground and popped out from the ground behind your opponent, no matter how quick you were. But you literally just 'poofed' yourself into existence! I can't logically come up with an explanation for that!"
Sam bitched to Mirio—conveying the frustration he was feeling.
Mirio gave a hearty laugh.
"Alright, alright, I'll give you a hint. Only because I admire your analytical ability. Basically, when I phase into the ground, you'd think that if I undid the phasing while I was still in the ground, I'd be dead, right?"
Mirio asked.
Sam nodded.
"Obviously… wait…"
Suddenly, Sam had an idea. But it was so dumb that he couldn't believe he had such a thought.
"No way. Don't tell me you fucking undo your phasing in the ground and you just glitch yourself back into existence behind someone!"
Sam yelled—feeling his mind break from the absurdity of it.
Mirio started clapping.
"Bingo! You are right on the money! Depending on which direction I am facing when I undo my phasing underground, I can control where I reappear!"
Mirio said—puffing his chest in pride.
Sam, meanwhile, began questioning his knowledge in Physics.
'Even the most stupid quirks should still follow some scientific principle. But he literally just glitches back into reality! He's a total bug!'
He thought in despair.
"So? Are we doing it? I wanted to have a bout with you for a while now!"
Mirio interrupted his thoughts, making him snap out of his dilemma.
He shook his head and slapped his cheeks, getting back his serious expression.
'He's right. At least I have all the knowledge I need. Now, I can handle him.'
"Bring it, bitch."
Sam taunted as he got into his combat stance.
The students who were beat up, suddenly stood up and moved to the side—groaning in pain, but still curious about this fight.
Nejire and even Tamaki also invested their full attention to the coming fight.
Mirio nodded.
For the first time that day, Mirio's smile disappeared.
Sam's eyes never left Mirio—his face showing no emotion. Only absolute calm.
The air around them was tense—even Aizawa couldn't take his eyes off them.
Neither Mirio nor Sam would take this fight lightly.
